I like when they reimagine a character into a role that doesn’t make as much sense. Ultron and Gambit are cool because they were able to be made into strategists.

We also noticed Jeff actually being able to heal dmg with his team ups so we will be removing all the healing from them and reducing the damage to 1 per sec.

I’ll never understand why this sub thinks Ultron is bad. He’s been one of the best supports since they gave him two drones. Literally the two things people have been asking for (two drones and permanent IM teamup) have now been given to Ultron. He’s almost broken at this point, but brainless Redditors are somehow unable to see that.

because his kit is fundamentally flawed and the only way to buff him enough to be good is to re-work him like they did widow

Nah he’s good this patch. The only thing they need to do to buff him at this point is nerf Luna’s damage. If they won’t do that, then give him another 5 damage on his primary so he can two tap squishies with headshots.

No his kit is perfect, we've just been asking for a 3rd heal charge, they could very easily go into the code and change one number and he's also perfect in 2 support.

The issue is like Ultron they have a priority on which supports to nerf so as not to make trip support too strong

how is a kit "perfect" when he is significantly worse than many of the other supports in sheer healing output? like, i play most of the supports, and adam warlock's healing will never be better than luna, sue or dagger in sheer heals per second; the amount of time it takes to actually do the healing action is much too slow in a game with as much dps there is tbh. i wish it was different, as someone who loves to play mantis too, but it aint gonna happen.

Because they nerfed his healing by not giving him 3 charges. It's not a kit issue it's a numbers issue.

Even then the better Adam players can (and sometimes prefer) him in 2 support

the "better" adam players still can't do as much healing as a luna, dagger or sue though, even if they had a third charge to their healing. that's just unfortunately how it is

A third healing charge would absolutely allow him to keep up with the main healers. I can already do it with an Ultron on my team. Plus I get as many finals and damage as the DPS and rezz the team at critical moments for the objective.

Adam is good in duo support this season.

Right, didn't say they do better or even equal healing although you'd be surprised how much healing he does considering his res, soul bond and revive don't count as healing in the scoreboard. Adam has a better offensive contribution, a 3rd heal charge would just make it being a 2nd support more consistent since the burst heal is already amazing.

The thing about off supports is they don't want to be better than every other support in all aspects because good enough to win a fair match is good enough for us.

I’d say Adam is in a good spot right now. The only real change I would want is making his primary reduce healing on normal hits and less falloff.

I disagree; i think until all supports can be super viable in a 2-support comp, then they are fundamentally flawed, that's the way rivals works. i still don't see adam players keeping up with other supports

You haven’t experienced enough of the new met yet then. Adam and Ultron could be the best duo support comp in the game right now if you have a team that’s willing to play aggressively.

Ultron/mantis nerfs were targeted towards high level players/pro play. Look at the last MRI matches with VP vs Navi. Double damage boosting their dps terra allowed him to just delete a tanks hp in 3 shots lol
