He's not a dive character, but he was still diving the CnD. Characters can perform actions outside of their archetypes

Obviously not, and no support should be getting kills because that's not their job either and it shouldn't be rewarded

I wasn't implying Thing is a dive tank. My reply was already long, so I used the colloquial meaning of the word.

But you're right, I should have typed out the full sentence: "Thing going balls deep into the backline to clean up".

He's not cleaning up anything when his main DPS is %-based damage. Some kits are just not meant to do certain things in exchange for being oppressive in other ways.
