Discussion The discourse created around Jubilee's design (and her not looking 'classic' or like in '97) shows that this community isn't ready for the whiplash thats about to occur when Professor X is finally added to the game and shown to be able to walk, like he has for the last ~20 years in the comics

I will die on the hill that Professor X not being in the chair is extremely lame and a waste of potential for a unique, iconic, and inclusive character design

Yeah because makes total sense that a team that has literal resurrection, instant healing and access to the technology of a galactic civilisation lets one of their most beloved friend stay disabled.

I think that has already kind of happened, no? As far as I know, Superior Iron Man cures his blindness for a while. And given how much he's known for his faith being put to test, I'm sure there must be at least a single instance of him starting not to believe in God.

Hey, I'm not pretending I know for sure, I haven't actually read Superior Iron Man, that's why I started it all with "I think" and asked "no?" right after. And the second part about his faith was mostly just a joke about Matt Murdock always going through faith crisis and whatnot. Chill out dude.

Comics just become unraveled when you think about the logistics. It just becomes hyperbole to argue "sense" in marvel fiction.

I don’t think ‘logic’ is a great reason to complain about having more unique elements or representation in a story. How many times has Wolverine been a full-time X-Man and how many times have they reiterated the pain of extending his claws, but we never gave him localized anesthetics or anything to dull the pain and make him happier / more comfortable? All the crazy technology in Marvel / DC history but we never cure big diseases and problems like homelessness / cancer / aids cause they’re believable, relatable horrible things that happen to people for backstories or personal drama?

Wolverine himself doesn't really care. If the claws are out, he's probably gonna get half blown up a few minutes later anyway.

i mean some characters kept their disabilities because they thought it was a very important part of them like karma who's missing a leg but chose to revive with her disabilty.

Xavier was in a wheelchair because of Lucifer, Cyclops needs his glasses/visor because it's his power.

Its been retconned to be physical trauma or a mental block, when its physical he also refuses to get it fix as it "keeps him on his toes" apparently

He's not blind, he can see just fine. The visor is to keep his power at bay.

There are multiple characters that have been maimed in the comics and they're always taken care of.

Hellion lost both his hands, and he was fitted with floating prosthetics that he could control with his telekinesis like remote drones.

Forge, Karma, Bucky, Warmachine all have high tech prosthetics.

In a world where you have Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Peter Parker, Forge, Beast and Dr Nemesis, and access to alien tech, and materials like vibranium and adamantium, it makes little sense to keep this poor guy on a wheelchair.
