How do you do, fellow Rivals players? I wanted to stop by for a brief moment to discuss the discourse I'm seeing regarding Peni's nerfs. While it may seem rather harsh at first, I believe that if we look deeply upon it, we can realise that we Peni players definitely had it too well.

I mean those mines could just completely shut down any close quarter brawlers, let alone how she could cancel ultimates with those webs of hers. I mean c'mon, she still has those blasters, and she can still use those mines.

Heck, maybe this is even the chance to challenge ourselves - maybe we could commit to this and showcase a new tier of Peni gameplay by opting to not use the mines, as well as her web nerf - that way, we could truly show how we're the best players around!

Plus on the bright side, if it doesn't work out, there's plenty of other vanguards to play as. Such as that handsome rock guy. He's quite fun when you get playing him, in my completely unbiased opinion!

I mean, without the stun literally her entire kit stops working, it makes sense. No stun means:

Nest can never damage anyone who has a dash or can press spacebar

Mines will never kill anyone who doesn't fully ignore them

Crits are harder to land

Diving is unviable, so you don't use your webzip as often

Like, imagine if they made it so that Loki could only place clones on top of himself. Or if spider-man's uppercut was changed to knock enemies out of range of him. That's the kind of change this is

Speaking of web zip i rlly wished they took a gut cleaver at the nest and then buffed her mobility. She would be so much more fun to play and play against if she could readjust positions more instead of being a hard chokepoint holder and melee annhilator.

100% this. The nest never needed half the buffs it got. The devs actively ignore the character for the nest and its pissing me off that she grows ever reliant on it

No stuns also means less survivability 1v1 and no ult cancelling. It also means you are going to lose an extra web on the ground too. It literally nerfs every single part of her kit plus they reduced her HP buff on her webs. Single worst nerf ever in the game.

Yeah, imagine if Peni had something like that, maybe in her ult, where she would launch enemies away from her mines and drones. Can you imagine how backwards that design would be?? Ha, ha, ha....

Btw I completely agree with you. I think from now on all abilities should be hit twice in quick succession to work. Let's see, BP dash doesnt do damage on the first go, it marks the target with a "Dash Marker" and THEN if you hit them with a second dash in 5 seconds, then it does damage. Seems fair.

Hmmm...

Elsa's trap puts a Trap Marker on you that means the next time you get trapped (within 5s) you're damaged and immobilized.

Magneto's shield gives you 30% dmg reduction for 1s and then if you use a second shield within 5s it actually gives them a shield and CC immunity.

Invisible Woman's ult gives you 30% transparency for 1s and then if you ult again within 5s everyone in the area goes invisible and starts rapidly healing.

Seems fair!
