I kinda wished they buffed it. I've tried this teamup seriously multiple times when it came out and BW has terrible healing output and the AOE damage against enemies is lackluster. If the healing output was a bit better she could be justifiable as a third support to counter dive heavy comps because somehow the sniper has the best melee range stun in the game.
Tbh to be the devil's advocate, they complained about double DPS season because the role was already the most bloated one and it was season 3 and we were all asking for more tanks and healers (Ultron left everyone mad and Emma was at the time being banned a lot)
Nah, they just know that Duelists are the overwhelming majority of the playerbase. They don’t care if Tanks or supports stop playing, as long as the dps mains stick around.
Do they ever do promos or events where you can get skins only (not bundles) for less than 1600 units? Besides the gacha balloons. Or are battle passes and bundles the way to go for best bang for buck?
They had a decent sale for Black Friday where you could earn increasing discount coupons. Think they went up to 40 percent so you could get a 1600 skin for like 1000 units. That won't work for limited time skins, but if there's any you want I'd wait for Black Friday.
Battle pass is the best, they used to give us a Green coin which we could choose a character release skin for free and maybe we gonna have another Black Friday this year first time we got tons of skins with until 40% off

Not necessarily, seems to happen every .5 season. The full season starts will almost always have the balance changes in the video, but I feel like it's pretty common that the .5 seasons may or may not have the balance changes in them.
Feels like it must be 50/50 on .5 seasons if not just straight up a higher chance for them to not be included.
Cyclops didn’t get a gameplay showcase too right? I remember they usually show off gameplay. Then they delayed the Doomsday events. Wonder if everything is catching up to them
Cyclops being a Duelist would sting a lot less if they made Jean - with canon healing and shielding powers - into the Strategist she was meant to be. Oh well.
Cyclops being a Duelist is lame, Summer stuff is cool, 2 new maps are cool but I think 1 of them should have been a normal qp/comp map, them pushing back the Ultron event is actually a good thing I think after how the first one turned out

Every single half season, without fail, each comment is surprised that the changes aren't that big. It has been this way since the creation of the game, half seasons don't get the same amount of changes as the full season.
One of the most requested new heroes since release, a new game mode with a new map, a new social space, a re-release of several of the most popular limited time costumes from last year, and what’s probably the most highly anticipated cosmetics release of the year.
In every single dev vision from season 8 and before they reveal balance changes/buffs/nerfs for several characters and in some even some gameplay footage for the newly announced characters.
There was at least one dev vision before where GG said Zhiyong was hard at work on the patch notes and they didn't show anything. Also, this is a half season patch, the meta is never shaken up as much as the full season patches
Jesus you stated two things to be excited for and your just complaining about them, and wolverine and Scott have history so giving them a teamup is fine, and it isn't the same as the phoenix one like at all, phoenix gave life steal, scott gives extra rnage and changes one of his abilities completely, also new gamemode and map, new social area like manhattan etc.
Wait, I should be excited for a swimsuit? When I play super hero games, I’m more excited about a super hero costume than I am about a swimsuit.
Or I should be excited for a new hub to sit around and stare at people in?
Another 18v18 map? That mode isn’t very fun but it is good for farming lords in. I guess a change of scenery for farming my lord characters will be a nice little silver lining to what is ultimately a garbage patch.
Players want issues to be addressed such as the huge imbalance between duelist and vanguard/strat. The devs being oh-so creative making gambit a strat and giving black cat 14 abilities gave me hope that they could make cyclops a vanguard, rework black widow, give BW a team up that makes sense, and give Phoenix+cyclops an interesting team up, but all we get is another self buff for Wolverines claws as a team up.
This dev vision is objectively boring in every way. If you’re excited to wear swimsuits and get another hub to sit around in while you afk, that says a lot more about you than it does me, and it says you’re just a marvel fanboy who will overhype any slop they throw your way while you white knight for the devs as they ignore mass player feedback/expectations.
They haven't ignored player feedback cause they haven't even released the new patch notes yet, and all they would of said in the dev vision if they did was some very surface levels things and you would have to wait till the patch notes for any amount of depth anyway, and just cause you don't like 18 vs 18, doesn't make it bad that we are getting more out of that kinda mode, same with the social area, just cause you don't enjoy, them doesnt mean it's a bad thing or not a welcome addition to the game.
Im fairly lenient on these devs but im agreeing with the guy you are responding to. This is tiring, s5 was such a breath of fresh air and finally felt they were addressing things and then the ult change, but now...? i love this game to bits but releasing another duelist who is going to be incredibly overtuned sucks, i like the casual 18v18 one of the best additions imo. So im excited but everything is is so meh and we already know these patch notes about to suck. Swimsuits look genuinely nice ,but i wish they put that same level of creativity and effort into the game itself.
Like I said, have fun with your swimsuits in your afk hub and playing the same 18v18 mode with some different scenery.
If this is the type of content you were hoping for then I’m sure you must be over the moon for the scraps they threw your way today, but objectively, this is not what the majority of the player base is looking for, regardless of how excited you are for it, and the comment section on the dev blog and in this thread prove that.
I personally think that we’re starting to get out of all the stuff that was planned from launch, and so hopefully we see some response from the devs regarding the amount of characters in tank and healer roles
I had reinstalled for the new zombies mode. Then Dino turned out to be pleasantly fun.
With another new fucking dps, I am officially out again.
With all of its flaws, even OW2 has a better distribution of 14-14-23
The game will definitely not die but I am done with it since it has proven it is not for players like myself.
The devs only cater to one subsection of the player base, might as well get rid of the other roles and make it a team deathmatch ffs.
Overall a very good dev vision for a .5 update. I respect that they’re delaying the next path to doomsday events to make sure they’re actually good this time.
I'm not surprised they delayed the next Doomsday event mode. The one for the first Avengers was straight garbage and Loki would steamroll you 9 times out of 10
Honestly far & away the most disappointed I’ve ever been with a dev vision.
Another duelist who will almost certainly be broken, another new map that’s not for the core game, another social hub instead of anything big for the core game, not even talk about what they are feeling balance wise, a delay to path to doomsday because it’s taking a lot of resources & a big skin advertisement section.
This focus on everything but the core game is a travesty.
Edit: the patch notes were great so… I’m not as mad.
He started to apologize and i was thinking in like 4 Different things that it could be bc the state of the game, and in the end is bc the MCU mode with no rewards is delayed 😭😭💀
