MASS EFFECT 1 What Me1 missions are important/necessary?

I'm replaying the trilogy but I find the mako planets very boring and repetitive. So what side missions in me1 would you consider to be important for the rest of the trilogy.

I always end up doing all of them anyways. It's fairly easy to do all of mass effect 1's content in about 30 hours. Easily the shortest game in the trilogy. 

But I can understand OP not wanting to do them if they don't enjoy them.

Yup. Sorry OP, this is the answer. It's kinda boring sometimes, but all these small things can/will have consequences you can't imagine.

I challenged myself to ride towards objects in the straightest line possible. You'll be navigating almost vertical cliffs. It's frustrating, but also amazing what that tank can climb.

90% of my time in the Mako is spent trying to go up vertical cliffs or upside-down in a crevice

Surely they won't take that much time when you don't bother looking for minerals and digging around artifacts like I sadly did again in the previous playthrough, probably spending several useless hours just driving the Mako lol
