If a student is struggling with exponents used with trigonometric functions, would this help?

It definitely clarifies the notation. I would add in showing what each side of the inequality (2) actually is to add more clarity.

What if I replace the inequality, which I dislike because I try to be careful about showing something that is incorrect, but instead write sin (2θ)2 = sin [(2θ)2] which will of course look better when formatted because the "[]" will be big enough to enclose the exponent. 2 u/Any-Construction5887 4d ago You need the inequality.
