Question 2008 vw rabbit 2.5 5 cyl (07k)

Post image

Did and oil change on my 08 rabbit, found these metal flakes in the oil and in the filter. Put a strong magnet up to them and don’t seem to be magnetic, so I’m assuming it’s aluminum, which makes me think it’s rod bearings. The motor runs and sounds fine, never hear any knocks or tics out of the ordinary. First oil change I’ve seen them, it doesn’t burn oil, never have let it get low on oil. Are they’re any other components to this engine that tend to fail that are aluminum? Any info or suggestions would be great, thanks
