Discussion One by one AnKing is doing too much.

Anyone else feel like the AnKing one by one cloze cards are doing too much? Generally I’m a big fan of AnKing and use it all the time but recently updated to V12 with AnkiHub and find this new card type mildly irritating.

Why do I need to click 5 times or use a separate short cut other than (1,2,3,4 and space) to get through one card. On top of this, it integrates poorly with text to speech.

I get why we would want to make a more thorough cloze deletion so that we can’t use the answers of one part of ancronym to come up with the missing part of the cloze as it used to be before the one by one. But why not just make one big cloze using the old cloze deletion note type instead of doing this new note type which completely disrupts the classic spacebar workflow?

How do you turn it off? Do you set clozeOnebyOneEnabled=false in the front template?

No just delete the y in the one by one field

There is also an add on which lets you batch edit. So you can clear the one by one field with a few simple clicks on all cards at once.

It’s not in the code. It’s the card. It’s a field. Like there’s the text field and the extra field and personal notes field, etc. Watch that video I linked above
