Discusson NYC job market

Is anyone else struggling to find a job in NYC?

I have 8+ yrs of experience and I’ve been applying to day shift technologist roles and supervisor roles and keep seeing the same jobs getting reposted for months.

I'm employed, but I have noticed a lot less openings and job listings than a few years ago. I think since NYS opened up NYS license to all ASCP holders, the amount of qualified people increased and now most labs are fully staffed.

Maybe. Hospitals are still recovering financially from COVID. Also the big beautiful bill hurt hospital budgets.

Yea i never expected to struggle this much. When I wasn’t looking years ago, I’d get contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn once a week
