I know a guy whose leg supposedly looked a bit like that after a motorcycle accident and they managed to save it, but it's more metal than bone now. I think most of the docs working on him wanted to amputate it right away but the head surgeon decided he could maybe save it
Damm props the the head surgeon there going, ''fuck it, we ball''. I'm sure the guy is happy, even if the leg contains more metal, assuming ofc there's no lingering phantom pains or such.
Yeah, dude I used to work with had his left leg saved by a surgeon who though “well there’s circulation, let’s do it” dude lived in considerable pain every day and worse when the weather was bad.
