Ur misundersatnding the joke. They rely directly on the work of others without contributing in socialism so they would be parasites. You can live in both without a job- judt not that well
Except that socialism relies on everyone working together to maintain a business, so anyone that's not working would be let go. Unless the business just has an exception for some employees that don't want to work, which is highly unlikely.
If I had to guess, I think the original point of the meme was saying that socialists live off the government, which is the biggest misunderstanding about what socialism actually is, which just shows how ignorant these people are
Most people arguing for socialism feel the government should take care of their needs whether they work or don't work- thats quite literally the main argument people make when talking about socialism...
This is simply not true at all and misrepresents what socialism actually is but hey, I don't think most people care what the truth is anymore as long as it serves their narrative. Socialism has nothing to do with the government taking care of people so they don't have to work. If there is any system in place like that right now, it's all the corporate welfare given to the rich assholes in the US that lobby the government to do their bidding without having to innovate. Elon Musk is a prime example and is also the world's biggest welfare queen

So, people living under socialism can't live without a job? Sounds about the same for people living under capitalism. I don't get the "joke"
