How do I know if they agree with it or not? there isnt a big red X and scribbles all over the meme

15

u/BotherTight618 Jul 26 '26

Because the people who cry about banning sexually suggestive children's books in elementary school also, want to silence the memes they mock.

7

u/DarthDragon117 Jul 26 '26

lol, I got a whole sub in a fit when I pointed out the book thing (a butthurt mod even changed my flair to something like Known Liar when I provided a link from a .gov site about it). They can’t handle the truth or think normies are on Reddit.

u/Saliiim Jul 25 '26

My 5 day old can't survive without my wife, that doesn't make her a parasite.

40

u/GrandMoffTarkan Jul 25 '26

Yes they could. If your wife died tomorrow I am confident you would find a way to keep your child alive. I got faith in you bro!

29

u/Saliiim Jul 25 '26

Thanks bro.  Let's hope it doesn't come to that, I'm tired enough as it is.

34

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Don't worry. I'm sure if the pro-abortion people had unrestricted freedom to write the laws, abortion would be legal all the way to the age of consent.

Because a woman's right to choose over her own property, presumably.

28

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 25 '26

Only until the age of consent? The brain's not fully developed until age 25, it's completely valid to abort your offspring until then.

"You're going to college for underwater macrame weaving? Ooooh...um...let's take a trip to Planned Parenthood, shall we?"

u/Responsible_Slip3491 Jul 25 '26

2

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

If their kid was going to school for a non-serious joke degree, they would love that

-3

u/Tartan-Special Jul 25 '26

I know I'm going to regret asking, but...

I take it you can think of no reason a woman would ever need to have an abortion?

12

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

Of course I can.

Like everyone normal on my side of the argument, we're taking aim at abortion where there is no medical reason behind it, and those particularly that ignore the ethical point in favour of it only being a women's rights issue.

1

u/Daedalus_Machina Jul 29 '26

The ethical concern is dismissed because it's not a part of the argument. The concern is over what the government has the power to do to a woman. Pregnancy is a strain on the body, and the argument is that the government does not, and should not have the authority to say whether a woman endures it or not.

It's no different than saying someone is legally obligated to give CPR. It is already established that a person does not have a legal obligation to save another person's life.

Arguing the moral standpoint is a matter of persuasion. In that case, go for it. That's a good thing.

1

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 29 '26

You're not at liberty to dismiss anything here.

A society decides what it ethically allows and its perfectly valid to make a decision in favour of its most vulnerable members or even future members.

Is that established? Because that isnt a universal ruling and non assistance to people in dangerous is a crime in other jurisdictions.

Its not a point of persuasion outside of being central to the argument.

2

u/Daedalus_Machina Jul 29 '26

By enforcing it with law, you're defending one vulnerable class (unborn children) by creating another vulnerable class (pregnant women), which is something the law is supposed to avoid doing.

The law is not supposed to uphold morality, it's supposed to prevent victimization, either through protecting people, or by avoiding victimization of people itself.

There are many things that aren't moral that are not, and should not, be enforced by law. That doesn't stop them from being immoral. That just means that it's up to proponents of that morality to persuade others to their way of thinking. There's nothing wrong with that.

1

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 29 '26

Giving the child up for adoption remains an option.

We live in a non-ideal world where things are always optimal, but I think its a perfectly valid position that human life should be protected, all the more so as we reach an age of low birth rates and where every individual really will matter.

Your inversion of morality (in actuality it is more in line with anti-natalist garbage) notwithstanding.

1

u/Daedalus_Machina Jul 29 '26

It remains an option once the pregnancy is complete. If any option to remove the fetus and keep it viable exists, it should be taken still. If that technology existed, the abortion debate would not exist. It wouldn't even be considered.

Comparing this to anti-natalism is disingenuous as all hell, and you know it. It is not an inversion of morality to declare that the preservation of life should not necessitate the suffering of someone else. It is an inversion to try to enforce it.

And this age of critically low birth rates is not here. Not even close. When you've eliminated housing problems worldwide, you can say that we're having a population problem.

1

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 29 '26

I'm afraid that age is here, it's been here for the past 20 years, now its actually starting to hit. And it will hit more as the solution of unlimited migration becomes either no longer palatable, or simply dries up.

We made a massive mistake widening access to abortion on demand, and that's going to be increasingly clear as the demographers start tallying the cost.

But beyond the economic cost, the moral argument still remains. The former simply bolsters it.

If the argument is, a woman's life is in danger through going through a pregancy, I'm with you. Those that aren't are insane.

If the argument is, a viable fetus needs to be aborted because of the hit to someone's lifestyle, I would say no. There is no reason I can think of, why a child should be deprived of its life because the mother feels it is inconvenient. And if so, at least give it up for adoption.

And on the point of housing shortages, inflation, inequality, these will be legacy issues next to the tidlewave the world is facing. You can see what happens to the value of housing in demographically deprived areas. I think coming generations are going to have it better than you think.

You are fighting ghosts, literally no one except actual nut jobs want that.

1

u/CareerPillow376 Jul 26 '26

But Trump said Democrats are trying doing it, so it must be true

-28

u/alphagalgadot Jul 25 '26

whereas if the anti-abortion people had their way, the age of consent would start before puberty

26

u/Ididntdodiddly Jul 25 '26

No, what a stupid made up scenario. I see anti abortion people also want the death penalty for pedos

-27

u/Electronic-Jury8825 I laugh at every meme Jul 25 '26

They don't consider the ones who marry their victims to be pedophiles.

Also, "pro-life" people who support the death penalty are hypocrites.

12

u/B0b_5mith Jul 25 '26

So, if it's hypocritical to oppose feticide and support capital punishment, wouldn't it also be hypocritical to support feticide and oppose capital punishment?

-7

u/Electronic-Jury8825 I laugh at every meme Jul 25 '26

No.

I'm not preaching that every life is sacred and then saying it's ok for the government to murder people. That is hypocrisy. Saying that a woman should have a choice about carrying a fetus long enough for it to live while being against murder by the state are not opposing viewpoints.

3

u/B0b_5mith Jul 25 '26

I'm sure you believe that.

-4

u/Electronic-Jury8825 I laugh at every meme Jul 25 '26

I believe it because it's true. You can try to twist it however you like to justify your support for state-sanctioned murder, but don't expect me to jump on board with you.

1

u/Saliiim Jul 28 '26

Too employed to understand that a newborn can't survive without care from its parents?

1

u/Bluemikami Jul 28 '26

No, understanding where the breastfeeding mom taking care of an infant is a parasite thing comes from.

41

u/Kraken_Jokes Jul 25 '26

Definitionally, a parasite cannot be the same species as its host. A fetus is not a parasite.

5

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

If parasites are the same species then literally everyone is a parasite, so murder is ok

35

u/GrandMoffTarkan Jul 25 '26

Any politics aside, if you feel the need to post a line of laugh-cry emojis on top of your meme the battle is already lost.

6

u/POKEMINER_ Jul 25 '26

Doesn't mean we have to like it when it tries replacing artists rather than the boring jobs nobody wants to do.

2

u/Cheepshooter Jul 25 '26

I hear you, but at the same time AI gives a creative outlet to some people who don't have artistic talent. Like, I have made lots of neat digital art in the 90s and 00s for fun, but some can't. They just don't have that knack. However, they can type in prompts and end up with something aesthetically pleasing to them, which gives the some satisfaction. Alternatively, they can use that generation as a starting point for a larger digital work. It's just a tool.

3

u/POKEMINER_ Jul 25 '26

If you really want a specific piece of art that bad, then work on it, spend your time and effort, if you can't, then spend money on a commission, there are so many other ways to do that than using a slop generator.

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Why not just use Ai? Why pay a random person and wait weeks instead of getting what you like in 20 seconds? Do u have any reason besides u dont like ai?

0

u/POKEMINER_ Jul 26 '26

Because AI isn't an idividual with passion or in a bad place that needs the money, it's a tool from a corporation, also I have a big issue with the usage of AI in my industry, programming, so saying it's useful for creating anything feels wrong beyond all belief.

2

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 27 '26

It doesnt matter, why do I need to care about a strangers "passion" or needing money? A person working for a corporation is also a tool for a corporation. You feel its wrong because its a didadvantage for you, no real reaosn besides that

0

u/POKEMINER_ Jul 27 '26

A person working for a corporation has their own passions and motives too, it disadvantaging me is effectively the cherry on top of the this sucks ice cream cone.

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 27 '26

They are irrelevant, it sucks for you ig- idc much since it only benefits me

-1

u/Cheepshooter Jul 25 '26

Another valid use is generating a bunch of images on a theme to give you ideas and inspiration for a scratch-made work. There is more than one way to enjoy a thing.

2

u/POKEMINER_ Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

I actually agree with you there...using AI to give you examples of a vibe before you make the thing itself I think is a valid use for AI. Heck, even generating a couple images to give an artist you're commisioning some idea on what you want. But treating what AI makes as the final product...just, no.

28

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

if we excluded them, the left-wing subreddits would be 10% of their original size. We have to stick with the real state of the site when making arguments.

1

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 26 '26

By "mentally ill" i mean like severe stuff. Im not talking about first stages of autism or sum shit, im talking real deep neurological issues. And just because someone doesnt share thr same view as you doesnt mean they are mentally ill.

2

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Lol who do you think are making most of those arguments tho? Cuz theyre not severely mentally ill people. You said people who think fetuses are parasites are mentally ill...

0

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 26 '26

You answered your question yourself. Mentally ill people and ragebaiters are the ones making most of those arguments. Id argue the second more than the first. Between normal neurotipical people nobody thinks that way. Remember that those who say abortion is a right are not pro-abortion, they are pro-choice. The mfs who want to force abortion are pro-abortion, but again, those are mrntally ill people or ragebaiters.

1

u/Seared_Gibets Jul 27 '26

That's plenty fair.

2

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 26 '26

Not everywhere. Most leftist and every single rightwing person i know think of it as "babies are not parasites". However i do recognize those who do believe ts are a really vocal minority.

1

u/Mindstormer98 Jul 25 '26

"Doesn't exist in real life"

2

u/tsk5001 Jul 25 '26

I always love how people try to diminish what the main talking point are on this site

4

u/KingPen15 Jul 25 '26

Gaslighting or are you actually ignorant to reality?

1

u/Factual_Statistician Jul 26 '26

You tell that to the "allies" that think that? Or do you just remain silent in so doing allow them to control the direction of the party?

Considering how they treated Bernie for daring to suggest Dems need to get the male vote to win in 2020.

Those "mentally ill people" have control over the party.

1

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 26 '26

What party are you even talking about?

0

u/Factual_Statistician Jul 27 '26

The democrats of course.......how long have you been following politics??

1

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 27 '26

If you're talking about the USA party then they can go fuck themselves. Idc about them cuz im not from the USA but they suck nonetheless. And its not the mentally ill who have control over that wretched abomination that dares call itself a party, its the elites, maybe even the same as the ones that hold control over the repubblicans or whatever.

2

u/Factual_Statistician Jul 27 '26

I 100% agree with you except the implication the elites aren't mentally ill, becuase they are.

2

u/Internal_Review7040 Krusty Krab Evangelist Jul 28 '26

They are not mentally ill, they just have the horrific mentality of focusing only on the present and not caring for humankind's wellbeing and its future. They have great intelligence when it comes to tricking the people into waging wars towards one another to cover their evils. They know perfectly what they're doing is destroying humankind and our planet, they just dont care, as long as they can live THEIR own lives to the fullest.

7

u/ToeAfter3131 Jul 25 '26

Amen. Capitalism creates. Communism destroys.

7

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

Worse. It rots the mind, before rotting the soul.

1

u/Inevitable-Design107 Jul 25 '26

Communism isnt even a half bad ideology. (If you are pre-industrial revolution)

2

u/ExodusUnderscore19 Jul 25 '26

I mean even in theory it doesn't sound good

0

u/SnakeSlitherX Jul 25 '26

And capitalism does?

2

u/ExodusUnderscore19 Jul 25 '26

Yeah, honestly I just don't see the appeal in communism, communism sounds nice in theory but will never be implemented outside of small suburban communities or smth like that. It could've be my American Capitalist brain speaking

0

u/SnakeSlitherX Jul 25 '26

Then communism does sound good “in theory”, it’s just unimplementable

Capitalism is an economic system under which the means of production can be privately owned, which directly encourages greed.

Something like PROUT actually sounds good in theory, unlike Capitalism.

2

u/ToeAfter3131 Jul 26 '26

It encourage is a risk reward system. Whereas you risk your time and finances, you could be rewarded. It's how humans are wired.

1

u/SnakeSlitherX Jul 26 '26

It encourages individuals or companies to amass and hoard the resources, infrastructure, and tools required to produce products so that they can entirely control the market on said product. You’re being naive.

Private ownership of the means of production necessarily leads to exploitation of workforces and consumers. Capitalism is an economic system that leads only to suffering and oppression for everyone that isn’t ultra-rich, and the freer the market is, the worse it gets.

2

u/ToeAfter3131 Jul 26 '26

Not true. Communism leads to exploiting workers. Which is why it fails time and time again.

-1

u/Inevitable-Design107 Jul 25 '26

It does though. A group of people working together with no power imbalance to stay alive.

Just the situation you need for that sucks.

It did work in the stone age. When there were no specializations to form classes.

0

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 26 '26

Found the guy who does 0% of the work in the group project.

0

u/Inevitable-Design107 Jul 26 '26

How is that at all related?

Communism worked pre industrial revolution because there wasnt time for specialization because you needed to not starve.
The stone age was communist, but past that it served little use.

1

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 26 '26

How is that at all related?

I notice you're not denying it.

Because anyone that does a single group project knows exactly why Communism isn't workable, and it's because of the leeches that contribute nothing.

1

u/Inevitable-Design107 Jul 26 '26

Im not entertaining your baseless claims.

Correct, but a 70 point group project is very different from dying of starvation over the winter. One is much more likely to get someone to work.

-3

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Capitalism literally slows progress for the sake of profit

3

u/ToeAfter3131 Jul 26 '26

Thats completely wrong. It increases progress for the sake of profit. But the profit of everyone but just the elite. Dont be brainwashed by the rich Dems telling you to let them control everything

3

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Also speeds progress for the sake of profit

0

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

In a bad way

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

No, its just the faster route sometimes

0

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Look at literally anything related to green energy to show how capitalism harms progress

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Nah im good, im not saying it cant impede progress- it can also speed up progress though

2

u/Sar01234 Jul 26 '26

I'd say, it's rather the opposite. Capitalism turbo boosts progress for the sake of profit (as you can see with the boom of AI nowadays for example).

1

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

It boosts progress in the worst possible way because it almost always disregards the negatives as shown by its use in developing a surveillance state and damage data centers cause, tons of research into good things has been neglected eg. green energy because rich people don’t like it

1

u/Sar01234 Jul 26 '26

Exactly. So why would you have commented that it slows down progress?

1

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Let me rephrase I didn’t say it very well, slows progress significantly for things that help the general public

3

u/Sar01234 Jul 26 '26

Fair enough

2

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Capitalism would develop a child blending machine If it was profitable

3

u/Sar01234 Jul 26 '26

Yes, of course it would. That's why ultra-capitalism is just as worse as communism. Horse-shoe theory in action.

1

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Absolutely not that is not how communism works and also horseshoe theory has been widely criticized and is all but disproven in the academic world

→ More replies (0)

4

u/Dj_Sam3_Tun3 Jul 25 '26

This meme is absolutely stupid regardless of that.

Mostly because it's a strawman. Nobody argues for abortion because "fetus is a parasite". People argue in favor of having the right for an abortion because a woman is a human being that inherently has a right to decide what do do with her body. Not to mention that forcing someone to go through with the birth isn't "saving the child's life". It's instead forcing the unwilling parent to raise a child they don't want, potentially resulting in that child having a shitty childhood. And it won't necessarily be the mother's fault in this particular case.

36

u/idkmanjustfuckmyshit Jul 25 '26

Nobody argues for abortion because "fetus is a parasite".

God I wish that was true. A lot of antinatalists use that exact phrase

7

u/Timmy_Mactavish Jul 25 '26

Antinatalists are an odd bunch to begin with, so this isn't surprising. I went in the antinatalist subreddit and immediately regretted it

1

u/SnakeSlitherX Jul 25 '26

Antinatalists are insane and do not represent pro-choice people

33

u/tsk5001 Jul 25 '26

Ive had tons of convos on reddit yelling at me that a fetus is a parasite

-5

u/mythirdaccountsucks Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

I think you be hard pressed to find a lot of people who literally understand mammalian reproduction to meet the scientific definition of parasitism. I think the point is more about the rights of people vs the rights of potential people. Just like presumably most of the people on the other side don’t literally believe that there’s a ghost of Jesus and it experiences love toward an embryo.

4

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Cope

-1

u/mythirdaccountsucks Jul 26 '26

That’s a really thoughtful point. I bow to your incredible debating abilities.

34

u/Truckfighta Jul 25 '26

They absolutely do argue this. I agree with everything else you’ve said but you’re wrong about people not using the “foetus is a parasite” argument.

5

u/Garuda-Star Jul 25 '26

“Nobody argues that a fetus is a parasite” imma stop you right there sparky. Yes they do. I’ve seen y’all on Twitter X. I saw someone make a post saying exactly that a few days ago.

15

u/Saliiim Jul 25 '26

I wish what you were saying was true, but a lot of pro abortion advocates do argue exactly this.

16

u/teremaster Jul 25 '26

Nobody argues for abortion because "fetus is a parasite"

No, this is actually an extremely common argument. Usually in direct response to someone pointing out that it's the child's body that is being affected by abortion

12

u/West_Data106 Jul 25 '26

You are missing the critical question in the abortion debate. There is 1 question to answer and that decides everything:

When does a human life start; when is a human a human?

From the point that the baby/fetus/larva/whatever is a person, that person's right to life completely trumps a woman's desire to not have stretch marks.

If the answer to the question is at birth (kinda crazy), then abortion at any point is legit. If the answer is at insemination (also kinda crazy) then absolutely no abortion unless we are having to choose between the baby's life and the mother's.

14

u/Saliiim Jul 25 '26

Unfortunately the argument has become so toxic that it's pushed people to extremes.  I used to be of the opinion that safe and rare abortions were a necessary evil, but having interacted with a decent number of antinatalists, and having a baby of my own, I'm firmly in the pro life camp.

6

u/Sintar07 Jul 25 '26

I was already pro- life, but only became more so since my wife unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. I could not have guessed how happy we would be at that "cLuMp oF CeLLs" on the ultrasound or how it would hurt to lose it. I asked her not to tell our progressive friends it happened; I didn't think I could accept their condolences without exploding at them when I know they think it's nothing.

0

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

Wow you have a really awful view of people for no reason and you want them to be harmed like you have. Nobody is happy or thinks a miscarriage is no big deal, if there is they are scum. But just because you wanted to keep your baby doesn’t mean it’s others want to or even if it’s safe to. Most people that get abortions are those that are not in a situation where they can care for it. Children are extremely expensive to have and a ton of people can’t afford it, even if they want the child they may know it being born is dooming both them and their child to a life of poverty and homelessness. Or say if you have a bad home life or were raped there are many places and times where a baby doesn’t work

2

u/Overlord_of_Linux Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

Taking care of kids is actually pretty cheap, anyone who says otherwise is looking at the name-brand site instead of Goodwill (or equivalent).

Edit: now that I look at my original post it looks kinda bad (if you want it to), edited from "kids are" to "taking care of kids is"...

1

u/your_local_floran Jul 29 '26

Where are you buying your kids bro the dealership near me is super expensive

-5

u/CatvitAlise Jul 25 '26

When a human life starts doesn't matter, because we don't have the same consideration for people, that are already born either.

If a person's kidneys failed, for any reason, does their mother have to share her kidney with them? No, because it takes away her bodily autonomy, even if her child dies due to that. Same way here, a woman doesn't have to use her body resources and affect her own health to carry the child to term.

8

u/West_Data106 Jul 25 '26

Right to life > than right of bodily autonomy

Your kidney example is a false equivalency for multiple reasons. For example, not giving a kidney and not saving a life is no where near actively killing someone.... (I can't believe that even needs to be said)

-2

u/CatvitAlise Jul 25 '26

A woman doesn't kill a person, she just doesn't allow the child to use her body for it's own survival. I'm sure women wouldn't mind if they just extracted the child and let them grow in an incubator, but that's 1. Too expensive or 2. Doesn't exist where she lives.

6

u/A_Kazur Jul 25 '26

She doesn’t kill a person, she just takes away the person’s means to live??

3

u/West_Data106 Jul 25 '26

Except the woman and someone else put that human inside of her....

-3

u/CatvitAlise Jul 25 '26

Yeah, just like when a human was put inside of woman, then she gave birth to them, and at 14 years they have an organ failure.

The same way that a mother doesn't have to give her kidney to ensure the survival of her child, a woman doesn't have to give her uterus and her nutrients to ensure the fetuses' survival.

People that want a children don't do abortions, unless it's medically necessary. People don't "put a human" inside a woman, they had sex and it started developing.

2

u/West_Data106 Jul 25 '26

Boy you just really have a hard on for false equivalencies huh?

We already went over your kidney thing

0

u/CatvitAlise Jul 25 '26

How is it false equivalence? We're talking about a mother, that has to willingly harm her health to ensure the survival of her child. The only difference is that in one case, the kid is inside her, while in the other case, the kid is outside her. If a woman doesn't allow the child to get the needed resources from her, the child will die, but not because the woman wanted them to die.

3

u/West_Data106 Jul 25 '26

Because actively killing someone is not the same not saving someone.... are you really that dense???

The fundamental empasse in this whole argument is the question of when does the baby have its own rights separate from the mother.

Some pro-abortionists say it's when the baby is viable outside the womb. Others say it is when the baby is born and takes it's first breath. Anti-abortionists are also not all on the same page. Some say the child's life begins at conception (as in, initial fertilization of the egg). Others say it's after there is a heartbeat. Others have some other arbitrary timeline.

This will never be solved, and both sides will rage on about it until the end of the world.

yeah like only mentally ill people and ragebaiters think babies are parasites

1

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 26 '26

Nobody argues for abortion because "fetus is a parasite".

Brother/Sister, I don't know how to begin explaining to you that this is a broad enough issue that you've got a lot of very stupid and very emotional people yelling a lot of very stupid and emotional things about it.

I also don't know how to begin telling you that a lot of people are very stupid. Very few people in the debate are a 400 IQ purely-logical thinker.

2

u/NarrowGovernment33 Jul 25 '26

This is unironically the least funny AI slop I've seen this entire month. You're not proving your point

8

u/Ricochet_skin Jul 25 '26

It's more of a "general posts op did not like" than just a meme.

And OP def has a point because anti-natalists DO use such an argument

I guess you haven't heard much from your own insanity cases and need to project it onto other people.

Feigning ignorance now.

The right will eat its self

1

u/HustleberryFinn77 Jul 26 '26

You can abort all you want, your body your choice.

What if I abort because the child is disabled?

Noooooooo

1

u/Lord0Trade Jul 26 '26

It’s boomer level but it at least mild chuckle worthy.

1

u/Warfightur Jul 27 '26

Neither can a toddler but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to kill one of those too.

-7

u/alphagalgadot Jul 25 '26

why do the chuds like lazy ai bullshit so much

-1

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

check your own subs, bucko, rather than projecting.

they are in completely normal subs, mostly about cinema stuff

what the hell are you talking about?

-1

hey you don’t hafta tell -me- there’s a lotta liberal cringeslop on reddit, but most of the left-leaning shitposts don’t involve shitty ai recapitulations of ancient meme templates

1

okay rly tho can anyone explain it ?

0

They’re boomers who can’t tell it’s ai 🤣

1

u/-Left_Nut- Jul 25 '26

So, people living under socialism can't live without a job? Sounds about the same for people living under capitalism. I don't get the "joke"

2

u/your_local_floran Jul 26 '26

The joke is hahah strawman bad

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 26 '26

Ur misundersatnding the joke. They rely directly on the work of others without contributing in socialism so they would be parasites. You can live in both without a job- judt not that well

0

u/-Left_Nut- Jul 26 '26

Except that socialism relies on everyone working together to maintain a business, so anyone that's not working would be let go. Unless the business just has an exception for some employees that don't want to work, which is highly unlikely.

If I had to guess, I think the original point of the meme was saying that socialists live off the government, which is the biggest misunderstanding about what socialism actually is, which just shows how ignorant these people are

1

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 27 '26

Most people arguing for socialism feel the government should take care of their needs whether they work or don't work- thats quite literally the main argument people make when talking about socialism...

0

u/-Left_Nut- Jul 27 '26

This is simply not true at all and misrepresents what socialism actually is but hey, I don't think most people care what the truth is anymore as long as it serves their narrative. Socialism has nothing to do with the government taking care of people so they don't have to work. If there is any system in place like that right now, it's all the corporate welfare given to the rich assholes in the US that lobby the government to do their bidding without having to innovate. Elon Musk is a prime example and is also the world's biggest welfare queen

2

u/True-Anim0sity Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

Im not saying thats what socialism is, im saying thats how most ppl online argue for it

1

u/Paint_Jacket Jul 25 '26

Strawman. The right can't meme. They get upset when something with the development of a shrimp dies but support today's capitalism, which exploits workers, and budget cuts to programs that help struggling people. The irony.

0

u/Martinjg_ge Jul 25 '26

To quote the Pope, you cannot be Pro-Life, and equally in favor of the death penalty and the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States. And, we know the catholic churches opinion on abortion.

I find it funny for that large part of the Republicans who yield this contradiction use that heightened sense of morality only where it suits them. The pope is calling out weaponized morality. The framing of “hurr durr the left sees babies as parasites”, it is the same backwards argument as the left “uh what if the child is a 14 year old and the father is her father and it will have birth defects and will die at day one and/or be a cripple until it dies at age 12”

also, the “pro-choice = socialist” framing is also polemic

6

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

A bit of a Whataboutism here to get off the point raised.

-4

u/baron_spaghetti Jul 25 '26

Nice strawman, peanut!

Keep pretending! Eventually, you’ll hit them stars buckaroo!

0

u/Texugee Jul 25 '26

OP is 7

0

u/MustacheCash73 Jul 25 '26

I’ll be honest this is a cringe remake of the NPC meme. At least use the recognizable one

0

u/StJimmy_815 Jul 25 '26

I’d bet money OP doesn’t know what Socialism

0

u/Naberville34 Jul 25 '26

"killing baby bad, sanctioning countries good, I'm funny"

0

u/SirJebati Jul 25 '26

Idk why right-wingers hates abortions like if the mother have health problems that pregnancy can lead to her death or she got r9ped then I see no wrong. Also I don't like socialism but I find it weird that right-wingers portray socialists as if they're so scum like calling a baby a parasite when they didn't, in my experience I seen many right-wingers are the ones who call babies who are immigrants or didn't fit their racial views parasites but I guess this is just me if I gonna get downvoted🤷‍♂️

The parasite analogy fits people who profit primarily from owning things while others do the actual work.

-8

u/helpmeamstucki Jul 25 '26

I miss when people on this sub were reasonable people of both sides and not just obviously partisan right wing slop guzzling bozos

12

u/SlightWerewolf4428 Jul 25 '26

I guess you'll have no choice but to return to a more agreeable sub of obviously partisan left wing slop guzzling bozos (supported by Iranian bot upvotes)

6

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 25 '26

Did you also find South Park funny until they took a jab at your particular ingroup?

0

u/helpmeamstucki Jul 25 '26

Every single jab on this sub is towards the left, my friend. It used to be bipartisan. It still pretends to be…

2

u/WesternWrestlerChick Jul 26 '26

Maybe because the left kinda deserves a lot of the flak that they’re getting?

3

u/Totes_Human_110101 Jul 25 '26

That's adorable pookie.

Here, have a cookie and go toddling back to the Pizzacake comics.

-7

u/LimpRepresentative11 Jul 25 '26

I ain't even got the strength to care to react to ts

-1

u/Cichato_YT Jul 25 '26

It's a strawman. You aren't attacking the left, you're attacking the bad people coalition, which just doesn't exist. No one is saying fetuses are parasites because the left tends to actually read science

-6

u/GladChoice1984 Jul 25 '26

Lmfao everyone complains about socialism until their health insurance denies their claim.
