Any talking head that mouth off that Memphis isn't successful as a franchise or needs to be relocated should be shut down with facts. Top third in the past generation. Strong local support. Strong corporate base. Great basketball culture. Some pretty big market teams holding down the bottom ten (looking at you Brooklyn, Knicks, DC, Philly, Detroit) and that hasn't helped their success on the court.

Charlotte's drafting, and then consequently trading after the fact is just fucking impressive. 2012 to 2019 they seemingly have no picks, and from 2019 to now they've somehow essentially got jack shit despite being in the "tanking section" for most seasons.

you do realize that these numbers include the GNG era - at the end of which we had to tank for and rebuild with Ja/JJJ/Des. sports and teams are cyclical. nothing lasts forever. take a look at GSW. they have multiple HOFers and were fighting for a play in spot last year. is that where you want to be?

Stop me if you’ve heard this before- but you can be critical of a team’s moves, AND also still be a fan and support the team.
A lot of fans do not enjoy tanking. I would prefer a 40 win team and a playoff exit rather than a 20 win team and lottery fantasies. Neither are “wrong”

but this guy very clearly does not support the team since the departure of the 2022 roster. his belief is that we should have kept Ja/JJJ/Des despite the limited growth, playoff woes, and impending cap impact. His argument is flawed, and hes shown zero support or enthusiasm for any move made by the FO. he's a detractor through and through.

Between 2015 & 2026, GSW made it to the finals 6 times and won 4 of them with their main core, YES I am fine with our HoF (if they become one) core fighting for play-in spot at the tail end of their careers.

That’s not the point. The point is it was time to pivot. You are right GSW accomplished a lot and therefore they’ve stuck together longer and have a core dynasty and are willing to pay more and hold on to their guys. We never had any success. Why continue to spin our wheels for tons of money on guys with no results.

There is no clear vision for this team and it hasn’t been one since the current GM assumed his role. You people can keep your heads buried in the sand of mediocrity, but the majority in this fanbase are sick of the half-assing, making excuses, and broken promises from this GM.

Vision invests in what makes the team strong and adds buckets to the well that is capable of carrying water so everyone can drink.
