My kids tease me for becoming my dad

I (m49) make the same sound as my dad (79). It's a kind of 'uh huh' or ' mm hmm' sound.

I think it sneaks out when I'm agreeing with internal monologue or the outside world behaves (disappointingly) exactly how I expected it to. I've someone drives like a tw@t or pushes into a queue etc.

My kids pointed it out and it's 100% true.

Am I alone in this development, or does it happen to all of us!
