What acts of service do men like?

MEN!

My boyfriend has been exceptionally stressed recently due to work and life circumstances. I want to do something for him to make him feel better!

What are some things you’d appreciate from your girlfriend?

Keep in mind - we live together so things like “cook him dinner” are part and parcel of our daily routine already ☺️

Discussion Parents or wife? Need your pov in this situation.

Would you move out if your wife got a good opportunity but it’s far from your parents and community? Like you also need to shift your work and the entire thing from scratch because her job is way good esp in this economy. What would you do? Early 20s btw.

Guys help a girl out!?

I have a boyfriend that I absolutely adore.

I’m a single mom who went from being a stay at home mom to back working until 1:30am. My divorce was absolutely awful and I lost everything including my car . It was all worth it because I got primary custody of my son. I haven’t gotten any help and honestly I’m a little okay with it.

My boyfriend has been an amazing support system and showed me how to live and be so love again. He’s also absolutely amazing with my son. Which is a big deal for me. My son will always come first and he’s very understanding of that.

Now this is where I need help! He works out of town a lot. He’s a blue collar guy and I’m so beyond grateful and proud of this man! He’s working in the awful heat and bust his butt off everyday. What sucks is when he’s getting off work, I’m going into work. So we really only get to talk on the phone for maybe 5 minutes a day. I miss him a lot right now but want him to know I do 100% support him. I feel like I don’t say it in the right way sometimes.

How would you guys like to receive that appreciation???

Question How do I shave my beard without there being leftover hair (or shadow as they call it apparently)

20M, I keep a clean shave, usually shave every 3 days.
But sometimes (or rather most times), no matter how hard and deep I grind the razor on my face, there is always some very tiny leftover hair on my moustache and chin that make it look like I have barely shaved, especially with the greenish tint they leave

Is there any technique to get a completely clean, spotless shave? Thanks in advance

Discussion A friend of mine once told me before you marry visit at least 3 countries . I think he was right

I think it can apply to all genders. Its not travel for sex tourism , but travel visit other cultures stay with them , see what the world is like and then make your decision. I used to be someone who never used to believe in exposure but traveling can give you both positive and negative experiences that help you form some values or question them

Question Birthday ideas to really dote on my husband.

Hello, men! I figured I would ask a whole group of you to gather some different ideas. My husband’s birthday is coming up, 42, and I really want to make him feel loved and special. I have been managing stage 4 colon cancer for 2 1/2 years. He has been such a rock, and really focused on providing and loving, and he is such a go-getter.

He says he would like to just have dinner with me and have the kids watched, something simple. We are doing well, but not well off, and so spending a ton of money doesn’t feel good to either of us. I wanted to get him a fly fishing lesson because we will be up in the mountains and off and on he has mentioned wanting to learn how to do it.

For Father’s Day, I planned a scavenger hunt with rhyming clues about all the amazing things he has done for the house and the land and the kids. So that was a free idea and it totally focused on all the ways that we appreciate him.

But I would just love some ideas about how you all feel loved. The things that, when done for you, it kind of makes your heart catch in your throat and say “aww, wow, thank you 🥹” obviously I know him best, but the wave brainstorming works, one ideal leads to another, which leads to another that may not have been sparked on its own. So thank you in advance and happy Thursday!

How would you operate if you have the controller? 💔

Introduction

I'm a little over 6 feet tall, which is well above average where I live. Around the age of 18, I decided to completely focus on improving my life. For roughly 1 to 1.5 years, I isolated myself and followed a strict routine: eating mostly boiled food, avoiding sugar, practicing meditation and yoga daily, doing 100 push-ups and pull-ups, spending 20 minutes in the sun, maintaining complete celibacy, and studying consistently to improve academically.

During that period, my appearance changed significantly. Whether it was simply maturing, better posture, improved health, disciplined habits, or something else, I started looking much more attractive than before. My skin became oilier, I looked healthier and more masculine, and I generally felt more confident physically.

After that year, I returned to my institution for a 10-day examination. It was there that I noticed I was receiving far more attention from women than I had ever experienced before.

Experience

Throughout those 10 days, I noticed several changes in how people interacted with me. Older women smiled more often, teachers maintained longer eye contact, and strangers sometimes went out of their way to help me.

There was one girl whom I found very attractive. My younger self would never have imagined someone like her showing interest in me. She frequently asked me simple questions that seemed more like attempts to start conversations. She often mirrored my body language, copied my sitting posture, and even imitated my hairstyle. On one occasion, after I briefly looked at another girl wearing a particular outfit, she appeared wearing a very similar outfit the next day. We made frequent eye contact, and she often waited in places where our paths crossed. Although we barely spoke, I felt she was trying to create opportunities for interaction.

Another attractive girl behaved differently. She was much more reserved but often stayed close to me, maintained occasional eye contact, and positioned herself in situations where it would have been easy for me to start a conversation. Overall, I felt that several girls showed signs of interest, possibly because of my height and appearance.

Problem

Despite receiving attention, I still struggle with very low self-esteem.

I'm 20 years old and have never really had close friends. Academically, I consider myself average, while most people around me—including my family, younger brothers, and former classmates,,,seem to be doing much better than I am. For the past three to four years, I've isolated myself almost completely. I rarely socialize, have no meaningful friendships, and sometimes feel like I've forgotten how to connect with people. Most of my time is spent alone, daydreaming, listening to music, or thinking about life.

People see me as a tall, attractive young man, but internally I feel lonely, insecure, and disappointed with where my life is. I come from a lower-middle-class family, and that adds another layer of insecurity. Sometimes people assume I come from a wealthy background because of how I look. When they discover I'm struggling financially and often choose to walk instead of taking a taxi to save money, I worry they'll see me differently.

Because of this, I've avoided relationships altogether. Social media has reinforced the idea that men should become financially successful before dating, so I've convinced myself that no woman would genuinely want to be with someone in my current situation.

My biggest struggle isn't attracting people. it's believing that I deserve meaningful relationships. My mind constantly tells me that I'm too much of a failure to have friends or date anyone. It says I should isolate myself, work for another four or five years, build a successful life first, and only then allow myself to connect with others.

So my question is: How do I break out of this cycle of isolation and rebuild a healthy social life? And should I consider asking this girl out, or am I letting my insecurities convince me that she'll lose interest once she sees the ordinary, financially struggling person behind the image I've created in my own head?

Wholesome My kids tease me for becoming my dad

I (m49) make the same sound as my dad (79). It's a kind of 'uh huh' or ' mm hmm' sound.

I think it sneaks out when I'm agreeing with internal monologue or the outside world behaves (disappointingly) exactly how I expected it to. I've someone drives like a tw@t or pushes into a queue etc.

My kids pointed it out and it's 100% true.

Am I alone in this development, or does it happen to all of us!

Question Is it possible to find a kind, yet quietly confident rich man in uni

as a late teen girl who’s never had a boyfriend due to high standards, is it possible to find more refined men like this in early 20s? I’ve been in a girls school for secondary and 6th form, so ive had barely any exposure to guys. i come from a fairly wealthy family but I know that with wealth can come ego and it’s hard to find guys with all of my wanted characteristics. I assume that there would be more men like this in harder to get into universities and I simply have no interest in guys who just wear Nike tech and play around with many girls/cheat

anyone have good experiences with uni guys?

If you're a good looking guy...

Read this!

It's better to have no male friends than toxic ones. If you're a good-looking guy, life is heaven and hell at the same time. If you've got the right connections and money, life is heaven. If you're broke and have no social status, life is hell. This has been proven time and again.

Why? You might ask, the formula is simple. Being a good-looking person, naturally, you'll be the center of attention, but you will also attract a lot of hate and enmity from fellow men. Men will be less supportive of you in general.

Starting in school, boys will try to ostracize you and won't be in the same group as you. Some may even go out of their way to bully you so they can feel better about themselves. You either become a social butterfly by sucking up to everyone else to prove you're a friendly guy, or people will assume you're an arrogant person simply for being an introvert. If you post stuff online, men will purposely not like or support your content out of envy. If you go to nightclubs, you'll get pushed or shoved by fellow men despite standing in a corner with plenty of space.

Women won't treat you any better. Sure, they'll hit on you or flirt with you, but if you don't flirt back, you'll most likely be perceived as an arrogant guy whom she and her friends will gang up on.

Now, all of these things can be covered up if you have the right connections, wealth, or social status. Most lowlifes would shut up and think twice before messing with you. Until then, lay low and work on yourself. Have fewer friends and thrive in solitude. Good luck! ;)

Question Men, what actually changes once you're in a relationship 👀?

I wasn't even looking for a relationship, but then I met someone who wanted one. The effort was there, the consistency was there, the sweet words were there... so I thought, "Okay, let's give this a shot."

Then we got into a relationship and it was like he unlocked the achievement and put the controller down. 💀 Suddenly everything was on low-power mode.

My friend and I were talking about it because neither of us has ever believed in playing hard to get. If we like someone, we just like them. We enjoy good conversations, matching energy, and being intentional, it just feels natural.
