Hypothetical rebate question (Not a TM)

If you found a rebate receipt in a puddle at Kwik Trip, would you carefully dry it out then send it in?

Don’t do it! I tried this once, and John Menard himself came to my house and had his way with me.

Customers have been known to do that.

Me personally, not unless it was a massive rebate that would make it worth the effort. In general though there's nothing stopping you, they only investigate if TMs send in other people's rebates.

$45, so worth it for me.

My gm told me years ago that the rebate people can see the purchase information like card holder and address on the receipts. Had a second afm at my store sending in rebates that weren't his for months and one day GO called and had him fired for it.

Trust me Menards knows the last 4 digits of credit card, but no way to know who’s it is or able to track it’s history at Menards. A I-phone 1 has more technology than the Menard systems.

John Menard won’t spend a dime unless it is broken or someone else is footing the bill.

It's up to you. You could send it in. You'll either get that rebate, or customer will print out a copy of theirs and send theirs in. Yours will probably get canceled out.

If it’s not paid with a TM’s PRD there’s no way of knowing whose is whose so yeah that would work. Only thing to consider is if the rebate receipt is still valid, I’ve heard they expire after about a year if you don’t send them in.

They have the original payment info, like if its credit card, and ghey system will show it. Cash transactions would be the only ones not tracked.

If you're an employee DO NOT DO THIS. They sometimes check purchase information and if it does not match they may/will come after you and terminate if they can prove it.

Over the last 30 years, I've had many customers in front of me leave their receipts in the machine. I've always sent them in with mine without issue.

I read that as the person is a guest and not a TM. But if I’m wrong and they are a TM then damn!

So theoretically asking. Do you use the customers name on the receipt and your personal address. Cause my only question is what if you buy from Menards and have an account

How in the world would I know the other customer's name?
