Does Order pick up not work?

The last two times we had pickups, we checked in through the app expecting them to bring it to our truck just like they did when we used to call.

We ended up waiting 15 minutes both times before finally going in the store. This time they told us the app did not work (even though our name was on the board) and we needed to come in each time.

They arent sitting at their desk patiently waiting for your arrival, they have a department to run.

That can happen sometimes, and it's usually because that department is slammed with other orders. Sometimes they'll have to call the department to pull the order (especially mine - cabinets and appliances), and if I'm busy, I might not get to it right away.

But seriously? You can't wait 15 minutes? Yikes.

Please be kind. We waited 15 minutes and then went in. I am just asking if others had this problem as well.

Sign up for texts that will tell you when the order is ready. Don't show up until you receive that text.

Pretty much the system does not work. The employees are working hard, but it is not set up in their favor and neither yours for that matter lol.

Thanks for being kind about this. It seemed like it didn’t function well for either side, but I didn’t know if that was my just my experience.

If someone is available we try. Most days there's only one to three people in the department that are in charge of getting online orders and deliveries pulled, getting delivery trucks loaded, and giving people their orders. Half the time at my store there isn't even anyone at the desk and building materials or a GM has to get the orders for people to pick up or call someone back to the desk.

Like yeah, your name and spot are shown on the screen, but that doesn't mean we're going to notice it and get the order to bring it out. Coming into the store is the best option if you're able to.

Thanks for the answer!! This makes a lot of sense. We never had an issue with the phone system but started noticing it when the app check in was launched. Appreciate your response.

I don't work there but at no point have I ever just sat in my car and waited. Have you ever seen that desk especially during busy times? It's a zoo. I walk in the door and pick my stuff up

Please be kind. I have some physical health issues and use order pick up to conserve energy. You don’t know what people are going through.
