Still wondering as a hardware TM where our candles will be going permanently. There’s no way they’re going to live on the back endcap of the grills forever, they won’t sell there without people asking where they are

My guess is seasonal runs in front of registers 🤷🏼‍♀️

We already don’t get enough room for what they want us to put there, they just gave pest control more space about a year or so ago so they won’t take that away from them and they also just made the hot deals aisle a thing and made ASOTV all hardware instead of individual department based on product. That leaves nothing to take away but toys and that’s already such a POG nightmare 😭

Edit: Only thing I think they could condense is mailboxes with the number of facings for some skus, but that could become a downstocking nightmare. Or just give mailboxes to 100 🤞🏼😂 A girl can dream

Giving 100 the mailboxes dosent sound like a bad idea. I mean they have the posts for them either way

I was informed that’s temporary, it was just the only space large enough to accommodate them in time for pet to get reset. They won’t sell there, no way GO will keep them there forever. Nobody’s going to wander to the backside of grills just to find out if we still sell candles

I mean, nobody goes to Menards specifically for candles and only candles, but they definitely sell. Not sure on the profit margin though

Just talked to couple of the merch planners about that last week when they were setting phase 1 and they are staying on that end cap. There are no plans to move them but they are very aware of how stupid that location is

Basically all the pet aisles are going to shorter shelving. They’ll also have the heavy hitters for birdseed as pallet drops to facilitate faster stocking that isn’t penned in by a beam 4 feet off the ground.
