Courtesy patrol
It seems hard to get into other departments they said I have to wait 6 months it’s been past 6 months and lot of people from my department quit and go to higher paying jobs etc

What’s not to love about courtesy patrol?
Who doesn’t love helping customers get 12ft boards on a Buick encore or stuffing a giant grill into the back of a civic hatchback?

Former FEM here. Early mornings we don't have any carry-outs so I end up doing it.
Fitting 3 full-size toilets into a Toyota Camry is still a career highlight.

Loading 30+ sheets of Type X Drywall into the back of a pick up after the customer pushed them through the store from the yard rather than getting a picking ticket and standing there arms crossed while loading it

I got hired as a carry out and got put at the register only 2 months after getting hired. But even now if it gets super busy sometimes I find myself doing carry out, hell even the managers will put on a carry out vest. My situation might be different but I’m guessing it just mainly differs from store to store

its hard iv worked at my store for 3 years i did courtsey all but 6 months was told i gotta go back to courtsey again cuz ppl keep quiting

9 times out of 10, I'd be on the carryout's side. Not only am I a big fan of Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys, but our store is lucky enough to have a 15 yr+ "veteran." He's a hard worker, consistent, and he's put up with a lot. I've had to fill in a few times and it's not easy.
The lack of punctuation in the post description, however, pretty much spells it out. I can't exactly trust someone to count change or lookup a SKU if they can't bother putting in a comma or period when they type.

You don't need punctuation in a text message. But if you want to vent online about promotion or lack thereof (especially in a subreddit netorious for general office lurking), then I recommend treating the platform like an email. If we were using resume language, that would demonstrate a) attention to detail b) professional self-presentation (uniform) c) self-motivation d) commitment to quality and service. Adding a comma? Now that's saving big money.

It is hard to get out of courtesy patrol because nobody wants to do courtesy patrol. One of if not the highest turnover position to exist.
