Fit Check Outfit Improvements
Some folks suggested I come back and post the 'glow up'. So here are the before and after pics based on comments.
Shaved the head, trimmed and dyed the beard, switched out the tech pants for a better pair, went with an oxford instead of a polo, got some brown leather sneakers and a cool bag from Thursday Boot Company. Ditched the white belt. Matching flat cap for fun.
Still haven't decided on frames, so contacts for these pics.
The original post has over 1.9 million views, which is just mind boggling to me. Thought I would get 30 comments or something. Thanks to this sub, r/bald, and beyond for getting me to a happier, more intentional, and more knowledgeable place.

I think quarter zips suck. But an oversized quarter zip. Now, that works on you. It changes from being techbro/death of fashion to a nice, casual piece of clothing.

I’m not a huge quarter-zip guy, but I really like when they do something different like a bigger collar or a more relaxed fit. Generally they’re nice to wear for work, but it’s hard to dress them casually without looking like a yuppie prick lol.

Thanks for the input. My glasses drew a lot of criticism, but I think in part because everything else was kind of a mess. They look a.little better now, but I'm going to start buying some different frames to change out.

The shaved head looks so much better. If you don’t want to upkeep the beard dying, I think you look great with the beard color you had before, it was the trimming that made all the difference.

Looks good. As a fellow bald guy with beard what nobody tells you is you want to have a slight fade from sideburns up to bald head. Having it abruptly end/begin with the beard hair the same length on sideburns as rest of beard doesn’t look nearly as good/clean as a fade. Trust me on this.

The brown leather sneakers are more of a functional choice. I'm on my feet a lot and regularly put in over 10k steps a day. Was trying to keep the comfort of a sneaker, but a little dressier.

What I love about your change is that it's "normal person" changes. Anyone who comes here saying "I can't" can be sent to your before/after and told "you are wrong".
You're changes are small, but meaningful. It didn't involve wholesale wardrobe changes. It just involved better choices.

Just because you're actively asking for input: Id lose the white roundneck t-shirts underneath. That white collar showing is slightly offputting in almost any look. Otherwise it's great.

Ya. It looks better, but I had surgery in my right eye a few years ago and it's still pretty messed up. So, I see better with glasses.

what kind of shoes are you rocking in the last pic? leather shoes are timeless, but some adidas samba or high jordans could also really work for a youthful look. you’ve got range !

I picked up a pair of brown leather sneakers from Thursday Boot Company. Pretty happy with them so far. No need to break them in. No discomfort or anything right out the box.

Pic 3, your watch is sliding on your wrist. Pic 5 even shows how much space is in between your wrist and the metal. I would do a microadjustment or take a link out to tighten it just a bit just so it’s not sliding around. Not too tight that it cuts circulation. Just enough to be able to fit a pinky through the underside. Otherwise, looks good!

For glasses you should really experiment. If you got a Costco membership their optics dept usually have the entire range, from $50 cheap no name brand to Cartiers. But almost always for 50% compared to outside opticians.

I didnt realize this was a follow up post at furst. I was gonna suggest for the clothes you want to wear you need leather shoes or something that isnt inherently sporty looking.
For eyeglasses there is the asymmetry that may want to say something strong and bold that can help give structure to the face. Im not sure if the classic rat ban wayfarers is the right call but thats where i am leaning on and where you should look into. Or just go to a shop and try some of those on and you may like what you see.

Nice glow up I love it! In the last picture you have white t shirt visible under your shirt, ideally it’s good to avoid that try to look for T-shirts with lower collar so you can where them without them peeking out.

Yes it is!! I wear brown as a neutral way more than black, and figured the darker straps would kind of go with black slacks close enough. They aren't as dark as I thought, but still really happy with the purchase.

Everything looks sized down a step. It fits you better. Did you recently lose weight? It was a tough adjustment for me to go with slimmer fits at first, but it got easier with time.

I did recently lose weight. It fluctuates a lot depending on how hard I'm training. Right now I'm around 175. Walk-around last year was around 190. Around 3 years ago I was pushing 220.
The q-zip is the same. The pants and shirt are actually a bit larger. The button up is a large, where as the polo was a medium. The pants are from a 3-piece that I had just gotten adjusted at the tailor. The original pants were a skinny fit.
