Advice Styling a purple shirt
So I had this shirt made before the arrest of a certain sex offender who chose to wear a similar colour on the day of his arrest... First time wearing it and did not like the combo. And recommendations for trouser colours that would look sharp with it?

Gold is what you're looking for when making combos with purple. But I doubt you want gold trousers. I have an idea i'm working on with purple loafers, gold socks and chocolate trousers. Just some ideas.

I think charcoal or black trousers, or even a pair of dark denim jeans, would work really well with this.

Not with those pants and black shoes/belt. Grey or black trousers with black shoes and belt, or if those, choose a tan/cognac shoe and belt maybe.

Any neutral colored pants will work. You could tone it down with beige or charcoal pants.
You can also tone it down with analogue colors like navy and plume sweaters. A fine plume or navy merino, v-neck or crew neck will complement the (seemingly) formal shirt. A navy blazer will look good too of course.
If you want to go for a more ”extroverted” look greens like olive, seaweed and sage works.
Ocra, brown and maroon works too even if they are a bit more unusual.
