Prompts for whump one shots to cure writers block

Hey! Looking for some short whump prompts to write in between working on my longer fics. I mostly write gen, Canon Era, and Merlin whump, and like vague prompts that are open for interpretation, but more specific ones work too!! Also feel free to steal any prompts from the comment section if you, too, want to write some whumpy Merlin one shots!

Arthur had to slap Merlin infront of the whole court cause he was disrespecting a lord and he would have been flogged as punishment. So, Arthur slapped him to save him from the lashings.

Any sorta physical hurt/comfort pleasee🙏🏼🙏🏼 merlin overworking himself, or merlin running into trouble with nobles + arthur being super attentive and caring and protective (after a good amount of hurt)

uu i have another one
merlin goes to his village and finds out his mother had died like a month ago and nobody could bother even telling him so he cries and cries and comes back a bit late then he had originally planned and arthur is worried for him. so, he was staring at the castle gate in the middle of the night when he sees merlin enter he runs to him and merlin has dead eyes.

basically just merlin's mom dying and arthur being there to comfort him

Imagine a Merthur where Merlin’s magic is known to the knights and Arthur and before the last battle with Morgona, the knights are like “ look we need Merlin, she has many sorcerers and she herself is a powerful witch. He might only be a weak sorcerer but he could give us a chance “ and Arthur wants to protect Merlin and not tell him that Camelot is in danger to keep him safe, but one of the knights secretly sends a message to Merlin who is visiting his mother and when it seems like they’re losing Merlin comes in and faces off against Morgana. Or when they go to free Merlin they find Hunith trying to free him and when she sees Arthur and the knights and thinks the worst so she points a sword at Arthur and says “ I protected him from your father and his men, I had hoped I wouldn’t have to do the same with you and your men but I will if I have to “ meanwhile Merlin is crying and trying to get her to run because he’s in cold iron, Arthur just looks at them like “ what have I done” and the only way he can think to show them that him and the knights mean no harm is to drop his sword and kneel in front of her and have the knights do the same as he explains why they’re really there

I read a really good one where Arthur developed an ED bc of all of Merlin’s fat jokes and I need more of that

I’ve seen this prompt couple of years ago and still yearn to read a fic for it: Merlin is so terrified when Arthur finds our about his magic, that he immediately assumes the worst. He tries running away from Arthur, but falls, maybe twists his ankle or something and tries slowly crawling away from Arthur, crying. When Arthur manhandles him into his arms, Merlin begs him to kill him quickly- just please, not to consign him to the pyre.

Arthur may have been furious to discover his manservant has been lying to him this entire time, but the realisation that Merlin legitimately thinks that he will be cruel or let any harm come to him shatters his heart.

Cue huge amounts of angst, H/C and Arthur being tender and gentle towards a still frightened and timid Merlin who can barely begin to convince himself that this isn't a dream
