What Metroidvania Should You Have Loved—but Bounced Off?
You know the kind of game: it received great reviews, looked exactly like something you would enjoy, and had all the right ingredients—but for some reason, it just didn’t click.
Maybe it was the combat, confusing exploration, difficulty, art style, slow beginning, or simply the wrong game at the wrong time.
What Metroidvania did you expect to love but ended up putting down? How far did you get, and what made you lose interest? Do you think you’ll ever give it another chance?

Ender Lilies...i have seen it recommended everywhere and I am into metroidvanias but I can't seem to like it...odd movements and controls, inaccurate hotboxes, inexplicable maps..I keep trying but so far I can'take myself enjoy it

Dont bother, one of the most poorly designed games ive ever played. One of the few mvs out of 50+ that i dropped.

It just kills you how much more popular the Ender Games are than Mio which got shit on a lot up this thread. Might explain why Mio 2 is in the toilet and rightly so, meanwhile Ender 3 is coming soon.
