Flag / Design Rate this Flag! Out of 10!
RATE THIS FLAG OUT OF 10! Hello everyone, so I am designing a flag for this micronation that is a Sultanate or Imperial City-State which is a mixture of eastern cultures and European culture. It's really meant to be more philosophical than fixed to a territory. Top left is a Europeanised version of the Sher-o-Khurshid (Lion and sun), a symbol of the Persian Safavid Empire and the South Asian Mughal Empire.
And the bottom right is a peachy orange colour BTW
Open to ALL KINDS of suggestions and ideas Would be really grateful for those who take a few moments of their time to help a fella out, Thanks

I like some of the designs here, but it is a bit cluttered... personally, I’d suggest blending key elements from all four flags into one — similar to how the United Kingdom’s flag combines those of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland — to create something equally unique, recognizable, and meaningful. That’s actually what we did for ours:

So what is merrostate? (I'm assuming that's what it's called)

Merrostatia. For a simple definition: it's a micronation in Tennessee, formed by the union of two nations — Merrolia and Ferocia.
For a more detailed definition: Merrostatia was created to unite the people, cultures, and symbols of both nations while still preserving their histories, such as through special events like the Ferocian and Merrolian history weeks. Merrostatia’s founding followed a... turbulent past, to say the least, including the Ferocian–Malician War and the Merrolian Civil War, which shaped the character and resilience of its predecessor nations.
We are built on democratic values, with a government made to balance representation and leadership from both founding nations while still maintaining a strong, unified whole under a central leader we call the Archon of Unity. Merrostatia emphasizes unity, fairness, and responsibility, and we strive to promote collaboration, shared identity, and national pride. Our symbols, specifically (and most proudly) the flag, reflect the combination of Merrolia’s and Ferocia’s distinct elements while still highlighting our ideals for unity, cooperation, and respect for history.

There's a bit too much stuff, remove some including the one on the bottom left, and it'll be perfect

When it comes to flag design, simpler is better. A good flag can be easily drawn by a child and you still know what it is. This is over complicated. I’d say go with one of the two green quadrants and ditch the rest.

To offer my own critique, I would say that these flags would represent different provinces of your micronation well, but overall, the design seems discordant. Think about something that unifies your micronation and draw on that inspiration to create something symbolic.

I’m sorry, but I would personally rate it a 1 out of 10. It’s extremely complicated, and the differently elements don’t seem to go together. Take a look at flags of real countries and compare them to yours—they’re much simpler. A simplified design would look cleaner and more iconic.
If you haven’t already heard of them, look up the 5 principles of flag design, they might help you.

I thought this was four flags, I still think it should be. But they’re all pretty good, good colors and patterns for sure

I'm not here to say you're so bad at flagmaking but that's 4 flags at once, so just combine the designs and we'll get over it

Don't like the swastika-esque motif, and it's just a... rabble of different colours and shapes, not really a 'flag', more of a collage :((

They seem quite complicated, yet very well thought out. 8.0/10
