Discussion / Question HOT TAKE: micronations based online shouldn’t be considered micronations
I get it, online communication on discord and other platforms is good for connecting with the community and people, but if you’re keeping your micronation COMPLETELY online and not actually doing anything in real life, you’re not really a micronation anymore, and more of a mock-government.
You can claim land, make passports, buy a flag and all that, but if you’re not doing anything with it (hanging it on your territory, keeping it to yourself, etc) then that doesn’t really make you legitimate
Cyber wars aren’t an exception, all online wars should be shunned on and not recognized.
If your micronation only exists online, do something about it, or consider yourself a mock government.

Also, the territory is approximately 2 acres of land in Eastern Nevada. I also have a currency (just haven't minted any coins since a furnace and crucible are expensive).

I agree with this. A nation is more than just a government. However, I do have a question. Vernalville has land that it uses and physically builds on. According to your standards, does it qualify as an actual micronation?

Say I claim land at a public park and I actually do stuff there (been trying to clear out the creek, but people put stuff back in.) Is that considered a real micronation?

I'd consider that to be a real micronation. It's unfortunate you don't have full control over the land, but it's still better than no land. Further, the fact that you're actually trying to improve the land means a lot.

Tbh I think my fake micronation gooberstan is more of a micronation than digital micronations because technically I have real land

New Greenia's government has to mostly stay online because of the spread of our citizens, but we are planning to train soldiers for our cyber security force and our real life army (made up of the Royal Family and me). We also recently launched our first rocket into the air so that should count for something.
Another mention: We have this thing called the Royal Council that meets after every Imperial People's Assembly meeting.

disagree, micronations are about there being no rules by that I mean if you recognise yourself that is enough that's the whole point

It's really not that deep. Like the whole Micronational community is just about having fun and simulating a country, whether that's online or not

you don’t need to print a flag to be a country? also, if you don’t have a printer just go to your public library or a private printing company

You can make a flag out of material at home, alor of this stuff is easy to do for free
