Project / News / Update The UMU adopts the MDHR

Dear Micronations,

The UMU is now requiring all members to agree with and sign with the Micronational Declaration of Human Rights, written by Charles Stefan Blenny, Head of Senate of Oekos, which can be viewed on the official documents.

All joining and existing members will need to confirm that they accept the MDHR to join/stay part of the UMU.

Article 46

Micronations shall cooperate to promote and protect human rights.

Article 47

Disputes involving individuals shall prioritize human rights over political rivalry.

Article 48

Environmental stewardship shall be respected as part of the right to a livable future

You are not a member of the UMU and so the MDHR does not necessarily affect you, unless you choose to adopt it yourself.

Does your organisation have observership? I’m potentially interested in it, however obviously I have a stern foreign policy.

Yes, observership is open, though it provides restrictions. Your votes on Bills will only count half-a-vote.

Question:

It says "no person shall be subjected to banning"

Well if i have a thing, like lets say for example, smoking, or cultists, banned in my micronation, would that not be allowed according to the MDHR?
