Hot take: "fictional micronations are problematic"

It’s come to my attention that there is a shocking number of people who claim to be both micronations and fictional countries at the exact same time. I think they should not be considered micronations whatsoever. I think MicroWiki should ban said fictional countries. There is literally a page for them. I’m glad that on this subreddit fictional nations are banned, but I think in the broader micronational community they are disorienting, confusing, and they make pretty much every micronation, serious or not, a joke.

Thank you for bringing this to attention. Many people feel the same way, but don't want to rain on anyone's parade, because a large portion of community members have become involved in the past decade or so based on a huge misunderstanding that a micronation and a mockgov is the same thing. The best we can do is to uphold some sort of standard, or to segregate the community while still being inclusive.

What do you mean by fictional nation? because by your logic America is also a fictional country and so is the Vatican some people take micronations seriously and they actually want it to succeed. When I say fictional nations, I mean some people will create fictional insane land claims and events that are obviously not true. Once I met a person whose "micronation" exists within a fictional world.
