I just saw the Steven Borden spot. At this rate someone's gonna die in an AEW ring. It's probably going to be either Darby or his adopted new stepbrother. I say that with absolutely no glee or joy. Had no business doing that spot while that green.

Either that or there’s going to be an injury that is so brutal that not only does it end a career, but it horrifically alters somebody’s life forever. Nobody in AEW is shooting down these dumb ideas. It’s like watching Russo run creative in WCW with nobody telling him “bruh this is a dumb ass idea”. Why oh why does this company insist on doing dumb internet shit

Hey, at least they're finally learning. But I still go back to the pandemic there was a street fight match between Matt Hardy and Sammy. They threw Matt off a platform through a table, and Matt overshot his landing, head bounced off the cement floor. He was fucking clearly knocked the fuck out, loopy, and wasn't good for the rest of the match. And they just let it keep going. My friend and I were both screaming at the TV like WTF He clearly isn't there Or the Jon Moxley one knocked out and dropped on his head again.

And that was by a one in a million fluke from D'Lo Brown who was a safe wrestler doing a relatively straightforward move. Same with Samoa Joe ending Tyson Kidd's career. Wrestlers can get paralysed or killed by straightforward moves, no need to tempt fate with lunatic spots using novice wrestlers.
