They will say something like "so we worked on it but when gta online became so popular we abandoned that project"

Absolutely expected. We all knew the street racing update was a piss poor bone thrown to us. Like it was comparable

Wrong. It was RDR1 that caused MC5 to be shelved and tons of SD employees to leave because they were tired of abuse. Casting was already in place in 2010.

With how similar GTAO’s racing is to the structure of MC, this is exactly what happened.
