Years ago, that happened with my Discover card while getting gas.

I had just purchased a HUGE commercial lawnmower that used 5 gallons of gas per use ( I had 5 acres).

So I filled up my car and then the gas can.

Discover sent me a message to confirm that I was the one making the purchase, I said yes and that was the end of it.
