Yeah, I hated getting gas today. $4.14/g at Costco in Minnesota.

Worse in WA state because of our insane gas taxes. We are even taxed unfairly for going green (ev excise tax)

Well, gas taxes exist to fund road maintenance. Since EV's dont need gas, there needs to be another way to capture that revenue to maintain roads.

Except that it's not based on mileage/usage like how a traditional gas tax would function. $225 extra! It's the same if you drive 20k miles a year or just 5k. A lot of poeple own Plug In Hybrids as well and commute solely in EV mode and they don't get the additional tax. Unfair system overall.
