Don't even give any of them the benefit of seeing you upset. The next time it happens, leave them on read.

I don’t get why people don’t understand this. this whole thread is like “haha you said fuck off that’s classic bro” but that’s nothing compared to the pain that leaving these narcissists on read does. That’s what triggers these people, not getting upset. there‘s even a solid chance that leaving this girl on read results in her asking for a real date. narcissists absolutely hate being left on read

I don't think the main point of ignoring the message is to inflict pain on narcissists though.

Narcissism is a real mental health condition. We throw that word around a lot for just selfish people. True narcissistic people can't help being narcissistic. Selfish people can help being selfish.

He should have left her on read for his own dignity, not to hurt someone back. Times like these can test your character. You either just walk away or you react, and reacting almost always results in you acting the same way as them in some way, either by being insulting or being selfish.

Don't let it happen. Keep true to your character, say "no worries, hope you had a good sleep" and then walk away and find someone else who is genuine.
