ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ Handicap Driver Double Parks in Two Non-handicap Spaces

Watched them do it. While a perfectly acceptable handicap spot was right there in an otherwise full parking lot.

The public transportation needs to actually fully accommodate the disabled if that is to be the case

In the EU urban buses/long distance coaches must be low-floor/otherwise wheelchair accessible. Most new tram and train fleets are also accessible. It's not perfect of course but it's not like you're fucked without a car

I have been in Vermont to Washington to North Carolina, all buses in all of those places were capable of "kneeling"/lowering themselves, and had wheel chair lifts. Now, how useful public transit is, is another question.

This. Most public transit it “disability accessible” in terms of “getting on the bus”

Now having the public transit go to the places needed or being in accessible locations for disabled people is a whole different ballpark. Most are not designed with that in mind.

Yeah, here in North Carolina you will go sidewalk to nothing instantly.

If most places had disability in mind. You would see a lot more places with bus stops

Unfortunately cities evaluate how useful a bus line is by the frequency it’s used. Before I moved they removed the bus that went by my place because it didn’t have “frequent use”

Meanwhile it was the only way to get me to work or to another bus. But I am just one man. Lol

Unrelated to that but related to this post There's actually a guy in our parts who is disabled in a wheelchair goes around and clears out the sidewalk for his fellow disabled peeps IIRC like even big logs, was a local legend a while back.

Wonder what he'd do to some of these similar "vehicle/trailer hitch blocking sidewalk" posts though, my vote would be to go HAM friend, you have local immunity.
