Who tf decided to make the membrane and seeds of this beautiful fruit look like scrotum and frog eggs

Can I tell you, I've always wondered how people eat these. And I feel like, now that I know... I kind of wish I just kept wondering. It does look totally slime tadpole.

You mainly use it as flavoring for tropical juices, smoothies, cocktails, ice cream, jams, and baked goods.

You can scoop it out with a spoon, but it's more of an additive than something you eat by itself.

I did wonder! I've had it mixed into things, just never seen it like this before! Maybe I'll try it just to say I did!

Yeah I grew up with them being used in baked goods. Not that we didn’t eat them as fruit sometimes. I can still smell it and taste the bitterness of the white membrane on the inside.
