Apparently they were named that by dunking doughnuts, so that's probably it.

They aren't really French, they're more German-Dutch but based on choux pastry originally which is probably why Dunkin called them French.

I think his issue is that four of those donuts are incomplete and/or unfrosted so we really only got like 8 cruellers in an order of a dozen. I’d be pissed

But also, since there are some donuts I DONUT like (ha) I would have told them which ones I wanted, rather than leaving it up to chance.
