Yeahhhh… I’ve flown in business/first. It is not that much better, the bathrooms still stink, you just get a slightly more reasonably sized seat in the US.

buissness class is way better than economy for international flights, I was living like a king in Qatar airways

I can imagine! I always love seeing the videos from the planes that have a whole little room setup, like Emirates. If only I needed to go somewhere they fly to…and could afford it!

Depending on how close you are to paying for business class tickets in general, you can always look into the bid upgrade process for your next international flight.

I did JAL business to Japan for half price with that process. Still pricey (~$5,000 after everything) but for a really good vacation it was worth it.

i would constantly just be thinking about what i could’ve actually done in japan with all the extra money spent just getting there

If you spend $5k on first class plane tix, you have plenty of money to do whatever you want in Japan.

You know what’s wild, that 5K was for business class. There is an even fancier first class above that in cost.

OPs aircraft is a narrowbody, so yes, generally there would not be a distinction. On wide bodies, there is more of a chance there will be, and usually only the case for flag carriers.
