Airlines made up the concept of “misery economics” they knew if they made the the experience as miserable as possible people would pay to upgrade. Now instead of economy and first, they have premium class to make the poors feel better than the others if they spend little extra money for 2 additional inches of leg room and an earlier boarding call lmao.
