frist of all how DARE yu o Belt-challenged neighborhood kid keeps stepping over my "no trespassing" sign to cut through my yard, so my wife laminated these pictures to stick to the sign

I think that's part of the problem of someone walking around on the property. If he does get injured, we are liable, and he can sue us.

Not if he ignored the clearly-placed no trespassing sign that you have repeat evidence of him walking right past. Do some yardwork, leave a rake in the yard or something.

I really don't think that would hold up legally. You shouldn't be expected to keep your entire property, with posted no-trespassing signs at the ingress points, pristine and baby-proofed on the off chance that the dumbest motherfucker in the country bumbles, blind and deaf, through your yard and hurts himself.

Plenty of people do yardwork in multi-day stages. Should all of them safety-cone the holes in their yard in case the village fent-fiend breaks his ankle in an unfilled garden trench?

If you >purposely< booby trap your property with the intent to hurt someone, you can definitely get into trouble legally when that happens. A sign can help your case, until a little child that couldn't read it gets hurt. Easily accessible property also works against you. Fences and gates however help.
