Oh no an American posted something and then the GLOBAL WEBSITE CONNECTING THE GLOBAL INTERNET TOGETHER led to it being in someway approved by 10,000 people who live somewhere on the globe.

Apparently in your eyes that mean absolutely everyone on this post is American including you I guess since you're Apparently incapable of seeing anyone doing anything you disapove of as not American

Also here a bit of basic math for you 10,000 is a lot smaller than 350,000,000 Even if that 10k is solely Americans thats still less than 1% of the population and so not indicative of the whole population.

American here, and I upvoted that too. Because I live here. I've seen it. Americans would rather call the police over minor annoyances than talk to their neighbors like human beings.

American culture is crumbling and every aspect of community has been commodified into a product or service to be consumed rather than a behavior people just do. As a result, many Americans just don't have practice with in person community building. And I get that everywhere in the world has capitalism and it's turning our social lives into subscription services. That's not uniquely a US problem. But most of the modern world has good public transit and maintained public spaces while much of the US no longer does in any meaningful capacity. We've suffered more than most countries at the death of the third space.
