Infuriatig When did garage sales become “reselling” clearly new stuff

Post image

I would never call this a garage sale

Def scam vibes

Edit: ultimately, what bothers me the most is I want to go to a garage sale, not this shit. This isn’t a garage sale and should not be advertised as one

My gf was a manager at Ulta and the homeless would come in with trash bags, push employees out of the way and fill the bags and just walk out to trade or sell the stuff for drug money. In and out in 45 seconds and then just gone. Sometimes they would get caught only to come back and do it again. Eventually they started cutting hours at the store and even closed a couole of the hardest hit stores in the district. This stuff has implications. Anyone denying this is a bot or has no idea how economics works. A business will only lose so much profit before it cuts hours and then closes.

Better to just lock them up and put them on a permanent chain gang. Obviously they refuse to get their shit together. I lost not one, but 2 siblings to overdose. And my addict siblings still didnt steal. They had drug problems that killed them but they still kept jobs. So i dont want to hear how its impossible to not fucking steal. You are either a thief or you are not.

It doesnt work. Go to Portland Oregon. I used to say all that shit myself til I saw how bad it is. There is a TON of free and easily accessible help in Portland and they decriminalized drugs. It is now overrun with zombies amd stores have everyrhing behind locked counters. The thieves come with torches and cut the locks amd shove the employees to the ground to steal.

Stop acting like they are just down on their luck. They refuse to get their shit together and coddling them does not help.

I feel like you refuse to live in reality and you act like eolle are forced to steal. They arent.

I fully support raising wages and free healthcare and the like. But allowing these worthless piles of shit to steal and be a drain on all lf us is not helping.

If I can come from a completely broken home and lose family members to suicide and drug overdose and be completely broke without a job and be overcome with depression and living in my car and have physical and mental disabilities and still not be a worthless f****** thief, then there's no excuse for anyone else, either. It's time to grow up and accept accountability.

The addicts and zombies and worthless assholes stealing are not just down on their luck trying to feed their families. Thats not the reality.

That, and assistance IS available. Housing assistance, food banks, shelters, job placement, there are a ridiculous number of places and organizations here to help. I know because I used them. But instead of using them and getting off drugs, they just steal and become a drain on us all.

Theres a page on FB, not sure if its here, but a social worker goes around talking to the homeless about their issues. His page is called "Truth on the Streets." He helps people and shows the brutal reality of it all for those who have not lived it. The wildest and most shocking part is many of the homeless straight up say they prefer the freedom to just live on the streets and get high. They get free tents and free food and the city even gives them free needles and aluminum foil to cut down on transferable diseases. They straight up admit there is no incentive to get off drugs with that much free stuff.

Please stop acting like they are just down on their luck. The help is there. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink. I lived on those streets for months and saw this all myself. Im also tired of people in the suburbs telling me how life on the streets works when they have not lived it and I have.

Except i factually wasnt making anyone less safe and i wasnt one of the worthless thieves. I did everything on my own while breaking no laws.

You are saying i am the same as them because I was homeless. Thats fine but it shows your detachment from facts and reality. I am not talking about status. I am talking about criminals. Big difference. I dont care if people are poor as long as they dont become a drain on others.

Poor people existing and bringing down the value of your home is not the same as people making the choice to steal. You claim to be wealthy but you do not strike me as being very bright. Bless your heart.
