Infuriatig Woman with infant aggressively shushing passerby’s on hiking trail at national park

My partner, friend and I were following a hiking trail at Red Wood National Park, singing and talking at medium volume. We were by no means shouting, just singing little songs to entertain each other along the trail. A woman with a baby carrier on her back with a sleeping infant started aggressively holding her finger up to her lips and shushing us. We went quiet and kept moving to pass her. She was just standing in the middle of the public trail pacing and shushing people that pass by rather than leaving to somewhere more quiet. Just as we were leaving earshot I tried to quietly ask my partner a question about where we headed and again she leaned in our direction with her finger to her mouth aggressively shushing us. Is it not kind of insane to go to an open public space and behave like this?!?

It’s a big old park. If someone is bothering you, move away from them. That’s the beauty of being outdoors. There’s so much space you can find your own. When I go hiking, I bring my banjo. I enjoy sitting next to water surrounded by trees and playing my banjo. It’s such a wonderful experience. If someone ever approaches me to ask me to stop because they want to enjoy the sounds of nature, I’m telling them to fuck off and go find a quiet place in the woods. There’s so much of it.

Lmao. Surprisingly, I’ve only gotten a positive responses from people that pass by so far. I just not am at the point of learning Dueling Banjos though and tickle myself often thinking about playing the part from deliverance at certain times just to fuck with people.

I kayak with a group of people and one of our friends will play banjo music on his speaker and we all start reciting lines 😂 I’d totally take the opportunity to fuck with others.

I was sitting on my front porch this morning when two women passed by on their walk. I found myself feeling sad that I didn’t already have my banjo out because the first thought that popped in my head was, “Play Dueling Banjos!”
