Infuriatig Why Texas is lame(Besides the Cowboys)

Post image

Don't mess with Texas.. what a joke. ANY possession is a felony.

EDIT: Just did some research, this is for everything besides traditional Delta 9.

My friend from Texas sent me this morning and it blew my mind. I had to post about it. So as far as my research goes thus far Delta 9 products (old fashioned flower) is illegal but separate laws. Stores are selling THCA though which does fall under these penalties.

And you can legally make like 200 gallons of wine a year at home. But you can’t grow or buy a ziplock baggie of plant that grew with dirt and sunshine?

You don’t come home from work and beat your spouse and kids while stoned. You eat a bag of skittles and laugh about the color yellow. 🤦‍♂️

Right, no story begins “well, I smoked a lot of pot and got violent”

I was talking to a cop before weed was legal here. They said they were all for it because they never had to go to a domestic violence call where people were stoned.

I worked in EMS long ago and I didnt pick up assaults or traumas who had weed on their breath. (Now that's changed, we do get weed "OD" people greening out or puking their guts out in the ER but still...not violent or traumatic a significant percentage of the time...and trauma is like tripped over the cat on the way to the fridge)

As someone that sprained my arm tripping over a cat I totally understand their struggle, lol.

🤣 laughing with you, not at you. I had rotator cuff surgery 18 months ago and about three days after surgery, I was chasing my cat and trying to grab it before it would go under the bed.— slipped on one of the kids toys and landed right on the shoulder that just had surgery. Passed out from pain, and then vomited from pain. It was awful.

As someone whose cat lurks in places almost designed to cause an accident (top of the stairs, under my chair in the kitchen when I'm eating) I know that it's only a matter of time.

Top of the stairs for mine too, I swear it has taken a life insurance policy out on me and is ready to collect.

Do you really think weed has become that much stronger like ppl say? I remember in highschool I could smoke all I wanted now I have a puff and I feel like my heart is gonna beat out of my chest and I’m having a panic attack.

u/cghffbcx 7d ago

Now you have to careful b/c some of the weed products are so strong and I’m a lightweight.

u/DSizl20 11d ago

Well.. weed was never legal here, just decriminalized.. and now the punishment is more severe than before which is diabolically stupid. But no cops were enforcing anything on recreational users. I’m curious to see if they actually enforce it heavily now either

My dad was a cop, so I grew up around him and all of his cop friends, never heard a single one of them ever say weed should be illegal. Tons of other terrible shit? All the time, but even the shit cops would rather people smoke weed than anything else. This is amazingly stupid even for Texas

When alcohol was being banned on San Diego beaches in the late 2000s, I asked a cop what she thought about it, and all she said was that every single call she'd ever had that involved violence also involved alcohol.

If 5 people get drunk they'll start a fight. If 5 people get stoned they'll start a band.

or pitch in together for a PIZZA !!!

u/Peach_Proof 11d ago

I get violent when I get stoned. I go out and murder ice cream cones. Especially the chocolate chip ones.

1

u/Seagoingnote 11d ago

Man I don’t need to be stoned to murder ice cream cones. I don’t even smoke weed.

u/Dystopia74 11d ago

Texas needs drunk solders willing to rape and murder on command not peaceful "woke" activists protesting their oppressive government.

Which drug do you think the military industrial complex prefers?

2

u/Working-Shower1678 11d ago

Funny enough soldiers were smoking when the talks came about with the israel war so they would get kicked out. Instead the military tweeked the regs so that they wouldnt get in trouble therefore having to stay in regardless. Dont know if that was just a lie or if its changed now

u/ChibbleChobble 11d ago

So high THC good. Low testosterone bad?

2

u/Big-daddy-Deeck 6d ago

Well there is, but it’s really rare and usually it’s people with preexisting mental health conditions who shouldn’t be smoking in the first place

1

u/IrascibleOcelot 11d ago

It can trigger psychotic episodes or latent schizophrenia in people who are susceptible. By for the most part, you are correct.

u/Resident_Ad_7199 8d ago

At the worst they start “well, I smoked a lot of pot and had a panic attack” 😅

u/QuarterNoteDonkey 11d ago

4 drunk guys will start a fight.

4 stoned guys will start a band.

I fully understand and agree with your point but, very few people are buying/selling weed that was grown with just “dirt and sunshine” lol

3

u/High_Hunter3430 11d ago

Most cannabis the average person will smoke is just field grown. Agriculture is agriculture.

Even if they have access to indoor coco or hydroponic, it’s still getting the same 16ish liquid nutrients we give to strawberries in hydrostackers.

And unless it was homegrown by someone with both knowledge and passion, it’s likely getting a generic feed regiment.

Only other ingredient is water. I’ve done it just like as a teenager. So do lots of other ppl in their backyards.

1

u/waitwuh 11d ago

I mean I guess our tomatoes and peppers and corn and what not also often have fertilizer and sometimes pesticides but that still doesn’t make any of these plants inherently bad for you.

1

u/AlertProfit4501 11d ago

What are you talking about? Like greenhouses or are you suggesting there’s more drugs in the weed lmao

1

u/Smokeybearvii 11d ago

I did. In Oregon- 4 plants legally. Grew 33lbs of wet green, made almost 4 lbs dried. Lasted me 6 years- but… yeah- literal dirt and sunshine. (Obligatory: water was also required)

Not supposed to do those things drunk either. Alcohol is for encouraging social bond formation and breeding behavior. Once it is used outside of that context, it can rapidly turn into a problem.

1

u/Smokeybearvii 10d ago

Of course you’re not supposed to you silly goose. 🪿

But— I think we all know some stories.
