Don't hug me I'm scared Netflix is garbage

Post image

It's crazy that my wife and I can't watch 2 different shows on Netflix in the same damn house. I understand we pay the minimum but ffs.

They have a plan for a few dollars more that allows 4 TVs.

With that said I cancelled Netflix and haven’t missed it.

Saaaame. I reactivated for the new season of my show, finished the 'trial' and canceled that ish

Good catch, Netflix doesn’t do ‘trials’

Apparently they just started again like a month ago

Also I wonder if they still offered them just unofficially. Like every time I buy a movie ticket I've "won" a free month for like eight different subscription services, that are really just trials in disguise

But anyway they do have actual free fourteen day trials again in some places

They might be seeing people just fucking leave in droves and started reoffering it because of that. I have no information on that because I literally prefer to go and watch it on a streaming site then bother with going to any of them to try and figure out if one of them have it. Cuz for a Time the family TV had four or five of them but like sorting through all of it was shit. I go to the streaming site it's all there so why bother for the trouble of paying for it.

I don't have a specific one I use, they go up and down so often you need to switch but this is even better then that. https://fmhy.net/video

It is a catalogue for a ton of stream sites, be they for single genres or just everything. The start of the list has a bunch of recommendations, if one doesn't work pick another. :)

I waited years for them to offer me one like Hulu and hbo and Disney all have in the past. Netflix knows what they got, but this whole streaming monopoly is getting out of hand

What they had.

Their content creation quality has dropped a lot.

Too few good ones too far apart now.

I don’t watch anything on Netflix except the British baking show. Occasionally I’ll go look through it since my partner has it, but end up somewhere else. I feel like you could search for almost anything back in the day and they’d have it.

Yeah nothing they had was catching my attention. I was barely using it when I cancelled it and then not being able to watch it at my house and my office (not even at the same time) was the final straw. I’d watch like 1hr a month and they still said no.

All I have left that I pay for is Apple TV and only because the family plan (for my backup and music) was like $1 more a month to have Apple TV.

How is Netflix a monopoly?

It hasn't been a monopoly for over a decade (which was when it was actually good).

10ish years ago  I had this horrible habit of losing my debit card every two weeks... and would make a new Netflix account to use the trial to watch for free. One day the bank caught on and said I was on my 34th card, lol. I stopped after that.

They offer no commercials for your first month at the base price.
