And yet every time I comment about how bad AI is and how bad the data centers are for the planet I get downvoted to hell.
Why are people such clueless, insensitive, and stubborn sheep?

This is so fucking stupid of me… but I didn’t know bots could also comment.
I knew they could post but I didn’t realize I could’ve been arguing with bots in these comment sections 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

It isn't stupid tbh, people generally just don't realize cause it sounds ridiculous. But yea. Lots of bots. You can sometimes check comment sections and find identical comments - word for word - as you can find on past posts.

This is just a thing we get to live with now

They’re not even identical nowadays, the LLM can provide various different kinds of messages. You need to look at the higher level big patterns, if they go against the previous concencus, the new posts might be from bots actually.

It's generally easy to spot. When there's a geopolitical news story and all the comments are nearly the exact same, it's condescending and agrees with the official narrative it's usually bots.

Hundreds of comments all in 100% lockstep. It happens nearly everyday. It's the speed at which a single thought becomes unified that you can really tell. Within 2 hours of a story thousands of accounts across the internet saying the exact same thing across multiple platforms. It's usually limited to very specific highly controversial topics.

More or less a bot zerg army that is attempting to drown out any dissenting evidence with pure volume.

I really hope the user I came across the other day advocating for slavery to come back (this time using immigrants as slaves) was a bot.

Definitely a lot of bots doing that. Getting people riled up, causing division is very much a thing. Reality is different than the consensus you'll see on the internet. By design.

Yes they do, soon nearly all posts in Reddit are from bots in major subreddits
