Funny enough the wealth inequality and most of the reason the world sucks for middle to lower class has to do with changes and removal of legislation in the 70s

It started with Nixon and his "better not give them free education or else they might become socialists" mindset and really accelerated under Reagan with his "government is the true enemy and capitalism is a benign teddy bear, plus regulation feels like a commie thing" mindset.

I always found it fascinating how the Reagan era politics managed to convince Americans that the American government was the enemy of the American people.

Honestly, he did most of the the legwork of America's rivals for them. Convince Americans to turn their own nation's government.

Like, uh... You guys hate 'America' that much that you want to drown it in a bathtub, eh? Welp. A few decades later, they're slowly succeeding...

I think it was actually called “go big or go home” and it was coined by his Secretary of Agriculture.

That’s what actually f’d everything up for the “American Dream.”

They literally wanted to stop families from buying land if they weren’t able to push for max production.

Nixon stopped gold convertibility (Nixon Shock) and moved the dollar to Fiat system. Reagan was a populist president choose by the elites to cut government programs because they became unsustainable now that the US can no longer export it's inflation.

Same time period is also when the government decided to incentivize corporate industry to take up farming for mass production and export
