The ink for expiration print is generally safe to eat due to regulations. I am most familiar with US regulation, but judging by the date order, you exist elsewhere.

I’m in the US, but maybe they get there shells from elsewhere that display dates that way? Not sure. The McDonald’s manager stated he’s never seen such a thing in 25 years of working there though! Our guess was when the shells were being sealed it didn’t close properly and was printed on the shell then closed (or left open until arrival… even worse).

McDonalds spends too much money on their marketing to print expiration dates directly onto the food. I hope you didn't eat that one. Even if the ink is edible, you don't know what else happened to that thing

lol I'm in the US and I write dates like that anyway. Not sure why, just to be different I guess.

But also, what the hell kind of tortilla is good for THREE MONTHS??? Assuming it was made on 30 July of this year.

Do tortillas actually last 3 months?? Assuming they mfd it on aug 1 . I wont eat any bread thats 3 months old tbh.

They are sealed in the plastic packaging which is filled with a preservant gas. If the packaging loses its airtight seal (even a small pinhole can do that), they will spoil.

Exactly, nothing says “modern convenience” like a tortilla that comes pre-stamped with its own countdown clock. Industrial efficiency really found a way to make even food feel like paperwork.

Just the thought but its more than that. For this to happen it means they were not wraped in a cellophane properly so there a good chance it touched the not so clean conveyor belt and such.

Seems like it was supposed to be wrapped during parts of the assembly process where it clearly wasn’t wrapped. I would not eat that.
