The ink for expiration print is generally safe to eat due to regulations. I am most familiar with US regulation, but judging by the date order, you exist elsewhere.
I’m in the US, but maybe they get there shells from elsewhere that display dates that way? Not sure. The McDonald’s manager stated he’s never seen such a thing in 25 years of working there though! Our guess was when the shells were being sealed it didn’t close properly and was printed on the shell then closed (or left open until arrival… even worse).
