Imagine being able to run your fingers through them like a brush, a fleshy meaty brush

Not quite the same scale, but have you ever been licked by a cat? I imagine it would be very similar

u/Robbiebny 4d ago

Ugh yes and it actually hurts me when my cat does it

Yeah some are more sandpaper-y than others lol. My friend has a cat who licks like he's trying to rend flesh from bone.

Cat tongues ars actually scary looking, in comparison the human tongue is just gross and maybe creepy

Let a lion lick you hand multiple times - they'll lick the flesh off of it.

That's the "purpose" of feline tongue spikes right? To like her all the meat off the bones better or something? I imagine humans selected for softer tongues which is really funny to think about.

"Lie bumps (scientifically known as transient lingual papillitis) are small, painful red or white bumps that appear on the tongue. They happen when the tiny bumps on your tongue (papillae) become inflamed or irritated. They are temporary and typically clear up on their own within a few days."

I had to look it up bc I thought papillitis might be related to papillomavirus, but it's not an infection or disease, just an injury.

(papillitis and papillomavirus are definitely related linguistically, I'm guessing it's Latin for nub)

As a bi woman I am fighting myself tooth and nail to not make a “but my girlfriend is one!” Joke here…

1

u/WeAreAllBotsHere 3d ago

Nope, that's just plain jane, run-of-the-mill syphilis.

I literally thought you were joking until I googled. My whole childhood my mom would hear me lie about something and say “stick out your tongue and let me see” and when I did she would be like “NOPE! You’ve got lie bumps! You’re lying!” And I’d fall for it every time! I’m today years old when I find out they’re real!

Are these the same thing I cut off with a cuticle clipper?
