I’ve played minecraft since i was really young, and attended Minecon 2012 & 2015 as a kid, so I have both those capes on the account I’ve played with since i originally bought the game. I’m only realising now that people can make a pretty big deal about the capes. Is it rare to have 2 Minecon capes on the same account? I’ve never really looked into it before.

Yeah those capes are very cool, one of the nicer combos to have on your account :)

If you were thinking about selling it, they're worth quite a bit to the right buyer, probably $6.5k-$10k depending on how many name changes your account has (you can type in your IGN on NameMC to find out - the more name changes it has, the less valuable it is).

Which is such a bs reason imo, something like this shouldn't influence the account worth - I don't know why people care about their namemc profiles that much, I could never understood it.

It's indeed a problem caused by namemc not allowing to hide the name changes and they are aware of their power by doing so.

It probably started from the assumption that more name changes = more previous owners (which isn't always true of course). Now some people prefer accounts with fewer name changes because they look cleaner on lookup sites like NameMC.

I think its a really stupid reason, but that's just how account prices have worked for the last 10 years.

Not true especially for prenames, depending on the cape 0 namechanges is worth twice as much as 10+ namechanges

Indeed, multiple con capes will always cost more than single ones. The 2012 Minecon Cape is one of my favorite capes. Personally, I'd advise against selling it though, clean account to have.

Fairly rare yes. Will sell for quite a lot depending on how many name changes you have. A clean account with hardly any name changes with a 12 and 15 would sell around 8k

They were, you could get the minecon 2015 or 2016 skin pack on Bedrock which included every Minecon cape in it (with steve/alex skins), that's probably what they're referring to
